... Not like it's the first time.
Also, whoever guessed that Mr. Satan would be hired by Nappa to fight in the Cell Games, you better pick up that phone because YOU FUCKING CALLED IT.
Didn't we already know Nappa was Satan's agent? Thought there was a bit (after credits iirc) that told us. Or did that just hint at Satan?
We did already know. Nappa explained it when he called Vegeta after the credits of episode 30. (If I recall correctly.) "His name's Mark Satan! Need to work on a name; thinkin' Hercule."

Aah, that was fun. Cell's just as egotistical as ever, and it's a delight. I think I enjoyed Vegeta being a massive pile of salt much more than I should have. Also, Chi-Chi's little speech. That feels like the first time in this series they actually try to explain Chi-Chi's point-of-view and actually sort of defend her.
#CellGames. Except we're not actually going to see the Cell Games until...what? Next year? After all the Dragon Ball/Dende stuff, Wen Broli, and Plan to Eradicate Christmas, there's a lot to get through before it starts. It really is sort of building up hype to it.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

Perhaps it will be continuously advertised in-universe?

When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:
Spoiler:
HeroR wrote:The characters in Super can work with Goku and they're treated like equals to him. Goku just being in the room doesn't take away from the character. In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

Oh god, I forgot how great you guys are in this! Really made laugh a lot!
Didn't expect such scene in Gohan's filler nightmare, I see that you guys used some Super soundtrack in this, don't think it fits IMO, I was expecting you guys to use this track for Cell's announcement, but it didn't happen either, but the actual soundtrack of the scene was nice too. Still hoping to listen this and this one of course in the next episodes

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
Lots of sexual "jokes" in this episode, I feel that's a trend that seems to keep increasing to cover a lack of originality in my opinion. But I don't think most of their audience will care, since I believe that no matter what they do they have such a big fan base that it doesn't matter, people will still like it just for the sake of liking it. Plus they know their audience better than anyone, so they know they can get away with that type of "humor" (I don't think it's funny at all). I honestly haven't enjoyed this season apart from the occasional joke.

Yeah, I expect a proper build instead they just skip next ep to be already the start of the #CellGames, I really would like to see Goku and Gohan relaxing filler, maybe Tao appearance, it would be better.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

His is the one I saw-He's in a group with two other wrestlers, I assume they also want in, they came out as SSJ's for wrestlemania
All training and no play makes Gohan a duller boy.
Man, did get Vegeta get verbally wrecked by everyone in the episode or what?

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

they stated in a stream that they're consider doing special mni-things for the filler like Tao (In the vein of Cell and Krillin at the airport)
I haven't been a huge fan of the Cell Saga in Abridged, but this episode brought back the hilarity that I personally felt like hasn't been seen since Freeza.
TFS does comedy better than their serious moments imho.
