That's not a guarantee. Standards might be a little higher than a random weekly episode, but the extra Battle of Gods scenes were intended for home release. This is just a TV airing we have no confirmed release for. They could easily be extra segments that look more like a normal TV episode, especially if they bookend it.

Wasn't that literally the other way around? It aired on TV first and actually got a home video release in the US before a Japanese extended release was even announced. During the time period before the Funi release announcement, nobody even knew if it would make it to Home Video.

Well that sucks. But it's probably for the better since I was not quite sure where they'll put the Black stuff without it feeling tacked on/random. The end of the film would have been ideal but still would have felt random.

He was clearly talking about the Goku Black stuff in the image, not the one we saw in the preview. He even said below that the new Trunks stuff will be at the beginning, although it's not entirely clear.

People were really asuming that there will be Black, only because they've inserted some Super footage with Black from the current Arc?
It's like back in the 90's, when they were using Chala Head Chala animation as a background for the narrative for a movie, asuming that you will see the scenes from Chala Head Chala in the actual movie.

12 minutes is probably the best estimate. Recent OP special was solicited for the same time as this but was only 12 mins longer then F's theatrical run time after taking into account the breaks etc.

Edit- Here OP was scheduled for 9-11.10 but ended up being 1h45. "F" was 93mins long leaving us with exactly 12 mins of play time.

Which would make it 105 minutes in total (93+12). That's the exact same as the runtime for the extended version of Battle of Gods.
