Do america and other real life countries exist in the DBZverse?
I'm assuming Goku and his friends are in a fictional country resembling america, or they could be living in japan.
You guys ever wonder what country they are in?

It's pretty firmly established that Dragon World doesn't contain real-world locations.
Also, this is an in-universe question, so like, it should probably go in that other forum.

The map of Dragon World has been drawn before and it doesn't resemble our Earth too much. For that matter, if you've played some of the video games released, you're able to explore the map itself and find that the cartography is consistent, for the most part.
Here's a Google Images result of the commonly accepted map of Earth. This isn't the one Toriyama specifically drew, I don't think.

Murasaki seems to carry a cloth resembling the flag of the United States, but the number of stars is off, so it must be another nation altogether that happened to share our ideals with design.

I believe that Mt Frypan to East City of the main continent is China/Japan, the Tsumisumbri mountains and Jingle Village are Russia, the area with Pilaf's Castle and the Rabbit Village is the Middle East, from the RRA HQ to Dr Gero's lab is North America, Giran's Village and south of that are India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, South City's island is Australia, the Papaya island archipelago is Hawaii, and Kame House's archipelago is Southeast Asia. Penguin Village is maybe an old colony of Dragon World's Japan because all the characters had Japanese names.

Krillin made Spicy Russian balls for Bulma's party, so there's that.

Obviously the Dragon World is loosely based on RW Earth, with somewhat similar geographical locations and earthly cultures. But there ends the correlations. Is an entirely fictional world, without countries in the strict sense of the world. Although we can see some nobility titles and land governed by kings and warlords, the world itself seems to be a Global State with the Furry King as the sole official ruler.
My best guess about Penguin is that is an extradimensional space / pocket dimension. Just look at those funky colors Goku and Blue got around when reaching the place.floofychan333 wrote:Penguin Village is maybe an old colony of Dragon World's Japan because all the characters had Japanese names.

Penguin Village exists eastward from Turtle Hermit's island on the map. It doesn't look like you need to do anything special to reach it.
