I think that like myself a lot of folk have gotten really interested in the animation side of things for Super latley, before I wasn't so bothered about it but reading this thread makes you aware of things you weren't before.

How do we find out who does the in-between animation or does it not matter?

I can attest to this as well. Personally I've never cared too much about animation as long as it isn't piss poor but I enjoy reading this thread to see what sequences everyone enjoyed/hated as well as the occasional gifs. I mainly read but this thread has helped me see things I didnt before.

Only really matters in retrospect if you're looking to see where an animator came from. Though it does often explain why some inbetweens are horrendous.

If you're really interested, they're all listed on Kanzenshuu's episode guide pages, though they're not currently up to date.

You're not going to find specific names, so it doesn't matter too much. It's just a bunch of studios. Usually places like Toei Animation Philippines and A-Line.

Here's a question, how does Shida make a living? I mean he's really slow and doesn't do a whole lot of animation in most of the stuff he works on, with the way payment works in the anime industry there's no way he makes his living being an animator, right?

Could studios paying him more for his work be a posibility? I mean, he must be pretty widely respected considering his work's quality is so high.

Truth is we dont really know about animators personal life. Only thing I know about Shida is that he likes baseball a lot, thats what he mostly tweets about.

Shida's a thirty-plus year veteran animator and storyboard artist, to say nothing of the most prized animator at one of the largest studios in Japan. He's probably on a large fixed salary. Even then, a storyboard pays about 250,000¥ and Shida can crank those out, too.

No, he doesn't typically do much animation for the stuff he works on and he described his work here as small, so we're probably looking at something in the range of 10-20 seconds, maybe upwards of 30 if we're lucky.

Shida Naotoshi normally only does a small number of cuts per episode due to short and poorly handled production schedules at Toei Animation. Don't expect anything on the level of his Disk Wars: Avengers fights.

With him saying it is something small and having 7, potentially 8 weeks for his little bit of animation I don't really see a reason to worry about the quality of it, we just need to expect it to be very short.
Unless he whips out a much longer cut that is much lower than his usually quality, but that doesn't really sound like Shida.

I won't expect a top quality cut from Shida, infact I dont expect it from anyone in Super. However I do expect Shida to be Shida :D

Kitano does not use that much of shades in his worls (see ep 7 or 51). That is clearly not Kitano to me, maybe Karasawa?

Have any new pictures from the next episode come out? I'm talking about the ones where you put in the date and a random number on the fujitv website.

SODHI - That Vegeta shot from ep 45 is from Naoki Tate, not from Yukihiro Kitano.

That isn't Tate. That's Kitano.

Perhaps you're mistaking it with this shot by Tate that Kitano corrected?

Totally different styles.
