- Future Zamasu having a grudge against Goku makes no sense. It seems like they're going for a whole time loop thing, and those never made any sense to begin with. In order for this to make sense, Goku had to do something to future Zamasu to make him angry, what he did to present Zamasu shouldn't count. But still, I think they won't care about that. A minor thing.
My theory is that Future Zamasu is Present Zamasu. Naturally, they wouldn't spoil that. But the present one probably wishes for immortality using the Super Dragon Balls (hence, the title of the upcoming episode) and uses his time ring to travel to Universe 7's future since there's a vacant position for a kaioshin there.
The whole thing feels weird because it's completely disregarding Cell's future, which I think they forgot about.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

They could be just simplifying it for kids.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

To be more precise, I think we are seeing, in parallel, the actions of two Zamas: the present one and the future one.
The actions being taken by Present Zamas, will result in Future Zamas.
So, practically we are seeing the origin of Goku Black and Future Zamas with every action that Present Zamas takes.
If Zamasu really wishes for an immortal body then he might regret it if he actually ends up being Zen'ou's friend He would have been better wishing for Zen'ou to die.
There's a way this doesn't end up being a paradox: maybe the Zamasu they are facing is the same Zamasu we already know but he actually comes from the future where he became a Kaioushin and met Goku in Zen'ou's tournament, which intensified his disdain of mortals somehow and he used the Super Dragon Balls to create Black. This would mean that present Zamasu is making the same steps but earlier because of having met Goku when he originally wasn't supposed to. A timesplt probably ocurred when Trunks travelled back to get their help, which was what caused the original timesplits as well.
More than the animation problems, I was worried that this would be another rushed arc. I'm really happy that doesn't seem to be the case.
I'm algo glad that Zuno is not a once time character.
If Super Shenlong gets summoned again I expect better animation this time, since the production improved and we will still have at least one more break, until there.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

To be honest, even if the stuff with Zamasu turns out to be a paradox I'm completely fine with it, as long as the story is entertaining. Some of my favorite time travel stories fall into that trap sometimes, but because they are good I gloss over it. I for one don't consider a paradox to be a flaw. Frankly, I would have preffered a paradox during the Cell arc rather than creating two whole new timelines that go nowhere. Would people really be bothered by it?
Also, since Zuno supposedly knows EVERYTHING, maybe when Zamasu asks him about Goku, he will also tell him about Trunks' timeline where he died of the heart virus, explaining how Zamasu got the Black Goku idea and also how of all places he ends up in that timeline.
sintzu wrote:You shouldn't be surprised considering what happened to Vegeta.
But what happened to Vegeta was climactic. I'd think at least Future Trunks and Zamasu would fight for a few minutes, but it seems it'll be all talk and then arc stretching.
We know that Trunks will get some power up this episode, so there should be some fighting with him too.
So there really is a future Zamasu hmm, I wonder who the hell Black is. If he isn't created and it isn't Goku's body it has to be Goten being controlled or something by that ear ring.
So the new spoilers basically confirm that Goku and Vegeta pretty much lose and and high-tail it. I like that a lot. It really helps re-enforce just how much of threat Black is knowing that Goku and Vegeta basically have to basically back out of fight to save their skin. And what is Zamasu going to do with the Super Dragon Balls, I wonder? I'm just loving so much how mysterious and unpredictable this arc has been so far. And we still have no idea about the real identity of Black.

I think Zamasu meet some evil entity and He wants to revive it in Goku's body. But I'm sure that Zamasu's plan will end frustrated in the present, because the timeline has changed by Trunk's trip.

Having Black real identity being Goten will be a big stretch. I feel they're going to end reveling that Black is somehow Goku and is using his body.

I hate that theory, but i have to say that his nickname "Gokū Black" is because Bulma noticed his resemblance to Son Gokū and she didn't know about Son Goten, but again to avoid confusions, that theory is incoherent.

Filler and canon discussions are "meh"
For all those saying that a new segment with main timeline Zamasu confirms that the one we saw at the end of episode 56 is Future Zamasu, Goku and Vegeta aren't just in a parallel timeline. They're seventeen years into the future.
Main timeline Zamasu has up to a seventeen-year window to work with before encountering Goku and Vegeta in Trunks' timeline at the end of 56. If the green time rings allow access to parallel timelines, he could have entered Trunks' world at any point.
More than anything, this recent batch of previews has doubled down on the idea they're the same, if Zamasu is "currently" tracking down the Super Dragon Balls to obtain the new powers he displays in the future.

The Goten theory is so stupid that reach the same level of "Champa will train Freezer".
What was dumb about that? We literally knew nothing about Champa at that point.

Why would Shampa train some mortal lizard from U7?

Imagine if DB started these days. It would go like this:
"hey, what's happening in Dragon Ball today?"
"Goku wants Mutenroshi to train him, so he's bringing him some chicks now."
"oh i see, just slice of life filler then. skippable. "

Again, we had literally no clue about his character. He could have had a variety of reasons, such as making him surpass Beerus one day.

I'm just saying it doesn't make any sense, even at that time when we just knew he was from U6.
Freeza surpasing Beerus?
