I don't think this episode is ever gonna be topped in terms of animation.

Yes yes YES!!! Maybe this was just a warm up and he's doing a longer one in the future?? Either way it should be amazing!

Also, with him willing to take on some Super stuff maybe other good animators will follow suit!

Does Shida do the in-betweens for his work?

The cut was good, but it was too short it should have been a little longer 25 seconds wasn't enough. Overall the action this episode was great the animation was fluid and impactful, however the art in some scenes were crap. I think Super should utilizie more breaks to make the schedule better, I really wouldn't mind if they took a month break, if it means the art and animation can get better.

I think this episode's art would have been fine from start to finish had they put a few more animators on it, despite this being a big action episode they only put 7 animators on it, which is extra strange considering last week had 19.

The art was only 'it hurts' bad in the second half. The first half had some weird faces but nothing too bad. I will give some credit to some parts of the second half though, Vegeta falling looked better than it should've.

This mean there was a good schedule for this episode and they didn't need a lot of animators. They just need a little more of time to polish some things and it will be great.

Also means they just need Shida, Karasawa and that robot called Higashide and magic happens. (I'm kidding, of course)

PS: I tried to follow Shida on Twitter. So many baseball and cakes tweets, it was enough for me.

Fingers crossed that Shida's next cut is longer, if we were able to get something closer to a minute that would be incredible.

Some pre-Shida bits in this episode reminded me of Seigasha's work. The way the camera zoomed out to follow Black and Zamasu being hit into the walls right before Goku and Trunks stood back to back gave me old Shiminuki vibes.

It seems we're getting to the endgame of the arc. When Shida says he's gonna work on Super again I assume it's probably going to be for the next arc?

It will. It only had 7 animators!! Plus, the climax of the arc hasn't happened yet.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Guys, i think we're underrating the fight scenes that happened before Shida's cut in Ep 57. They were incredibly good and dynamic too, better than anything we've seen before, even Goku vs Hit. If Shida's cut wasn't there, we'd be praising them too.

Also that little fight Trunks had with Zamasu after he regenerated was also very cool. Every fight scene in this episode was incredible. Shida's was just out of this world. I won't even talk now, because last time i said "we will never see better animation than this in Super ever again" was during the fight between Vegeta and Cabba, in the U6 arc, and i was proved wrong again and again, it was crazy. Now with this cut form Shida, i believe Super is capable of anything, especially if Super keeps benefiting from the episode breaks.

If I were betting, I think Shida's next episode would be the final fight episode of this arc.
