There is absolutely no reason for this to go so far off-subject. You all know better.

Yeah, it does. It looks like I'm stuck with either an auction proxy or writing my friend... but seeing as I'm looking at at least the Z2 set in addition to the movies (and possibly DB and GT after that) I don't feel it's an option to continually ask for favors. Gah, why can't there more international shippers...snaku wrote:Aw, that sucks Acid.

Well, I finally got it.
Oddly enough, something came up for snaku, and so he offered to sell the set he won off b_boult to me. (Thanks buddy!!) From Japan to Britain to Florida to Massachusetts...this set has been places, all while in the possession of members on this board. Pretty incredible stuff.
Anyway, it just arrived today, and well...what more is there to say on this? While I haven't yet watched any of them, my only complaint would have to be the loose cases—I seem to recall others experiencing the same...but I'm not sure. Am I the only one? Because when I opened the sleeves, a lot of the DVDs were out of their holding, and on opposite sides...
I don't suspect any damage, though, thankfully.
On that note, are there any suggestions for storing these things? I saw Corey's photo with all the 'Boxes some pages back, but it's not clear what they're being kept in.

Hahaha that is bizarre. I'm glad snaku at least got it though, because it was a huge hassle shipping it to him. I quoted £10 on the actual auction, because I assumed it weighed under 2kgs, and it didn't. Consequently the shipping sky rocketted to £33 (for ECONOMY 28 DAYS) and £45 if he wanted it within 5. I asked him for some help to pay for this, and even though he didn't have any legal obligation to do so he helped me out with an extra £10 and was a star. Two weeks later however it still hadn't even reached him, and he was really messed around. Did you actually get to watch them then Snaku, and why did you sell them exactly?Acid_Reign wrote:Well, I finally got it.Oddly enough, something came up for snaku, and so he offered to sell the set he won off b_boult to me. Honestly, I kept them out in the open for awhile. Around the time I got the DB DragonBox, I put them in my entertainment center behind glass. I'm honestly thinking of buying a new bookshelf with a glassed-in top shelf or making one myself, since I just bought 7 of the Daizenshuu as well and need more space.Acid_Reign wrote:On that note, are there any suggestions for storing these things? Hey, I'm not sure if this is entirely appropriate, but I'm going to sell my Movies Dragonbox (this is sans scouters), and probably for relativley cheapish (what would be a good price?). if you're interested, give me a PM or reply or something, this just seems like the most relevant thread without making a new one or whatever
Seriously, I'm going to bail from fandom so whatever, all offers are considered.

Cheapish? Hmm...100-300 dollar market or something?ETC123 wrote:Hey, I'm not sure if this is entirely appropriate, but I'm going to sell my Movies Dragonbox (this is sans scouters), and probably for relativley cheapish (what would be a good price?). if you're interested, give me a PM or reply or something, this just seems like the most relevant thread without making a new one or whatever

I may be interested...just need to get some money =P
Hey, for anyone still interested, I think I've reached a fair price- $150 USD for the box and DVDs and book and everything. Everything is still in good condition.
First in, best dressed! If you buy this I'll throw in a special, actually tangible gift from way back when, DBZ related. I seriously need to move this stuff as I'm moving soon.

You have yourself a sale. PM me with your details and requirements.
As long as the discs are free of scratches and scuff? I don't care how many times they've been watched.
(If someone beat me to it through PM, do let me know . . . heh.)

I'd like to think I've given him enough time, since I was expecting it to be shipped off sometime last week. I'm in a rush to sell it and I need to get atleast $150 for it, and as much as I'd like to sell it to him, he really should have told me that he doesn't come on regularly and what not.bkev wrote:Lemmy pops in and out, give him a bit more time before ya put it back up for sale.
