Funimation adds new shows to iTunes (Dragonball soon?)

Post by Magic Saiya-jin » Tue Mar 20, 2007 11:11 pm

While perusing iTunes i noticed that Funimation has now added another two shows to iTunes within the 3 months that it has been on iTunes. It may be wishful thinking but we might have Dragonball soon.

It's possible. Depends on whether Toei would green-light such a project, and even then it'd only be the dub *shudder*

It will gather more consumers for Funimation. For instance this marketing strategy made be buy all 24 episodes of "Speed Grapher".

Also - It seems as if they are throwing their "New-to-dub" shows on iTunes for the added publicity. Considering the popularity of Dragonball it probably won't come for a while. But there is a considerable chance.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I like physical media. Besides, I can transcode my own stuff if I want.

I don't doubt the viability of Dragonball though, I'm just saying Toei might not be too keen on an American licensor beating them to the punch in terms of online distribution.

I agree with MajinVejita, when I purchase a product, I like to have the physical thing in my possession. Less of a chance of losing it.
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."
