Goten. Laid waste to Trunks' future.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

I think Zamasu is the first somewhat good character to slip into evil.

He was never really a "good guy".

That's why I said "somewhat".

He was a Kaio. He must have been good at some point, we were just introduced to him when he was neutral.

Was he quote on quote good though? I mean he seemed to have quite a bit of disdain for mortals/humans even when we were first introduced something was off about him.

Edit- The way Gows gave explained things to him seems like he was trainee and not that experienced so when we were intro'd to him he doesn't look like he was in the job for much long.

The previous Kami is still the best example I can think of.

The previous Kami was never evil. Garlic Jr. was evil, and the "Nameless Namekian" had some evil in his heart before his good half became the God of Earth.

For not being evil, he sure was a jerk to Kami and Mr. Popo

Sure, but he was just protecting Holy Ground. Besides, if we can just be real for a minute, Garlic Jr. doesn't count. It doesn't even fit into the continuity of the main storyline. I only referenced it to be as inclusive as possible.

Well I figured we could use non-canon of examples since the OP didn't prohibit them.

Sure. But I'm not convinced that he was even evil, he was just protecting the resting place of he and his predecessors.

He may not be that good in the beginning, but he really wasn't as bad as he is now. Back then, he was just a random prodigious student that pours tea with doubts about ningens aka mortals. His doubt then became amplified many times more when he witnessed Goku's powers and the violence of the Barbarians and etc. That was when Zamasu decides that all mortals should be exterminated and thus causing the death of his mentor.

I don't think it's fair to say that Gowasu is dead yet. Even though the leaks seem to indicate it, there could be some kind of twist.

It's not that I think he's alive, I just don't think we should write him off as dead until we see him die.

He definitely would be killed by Zamasu, but who knows? He might be revived by the DBs.

We'll probably have a good idea in a few more hours.
