Re: Should Dragon Ball Super Have Blood?
The Cell saga and Boo saga has had less blood then the beginning of the series for example
I don't know but i think the international version of Super will have more blood

This guy begs to differ:Lujin_16 wrote:The Cell saga and Boo saga has had less blood then the beginning of the series for example

Doubtful. We should see an uncensored release in most markets (similar to Kai I would think).Lujin_16 wrote:I don't know but i think the international version of Super will have more blood
Re: Should Dragon Ball Super Have Blood?
Actually, the lack of blood is almost certainly because of the international market.Lujin_16 wrote:I don't know but i think the international version of Super will have more blood
Better to just create the show with that market in mind than to force those companies to alter the product in their own ways later down the line.
One Piece is pretty much the exception in that its a huge seller in Japan and its level of gore has been grandfathered in due its time on the air.

I wish it did, but it's my fault for liking a franchise aimed at the lowest common denominator.

Certain wounds would make more sense (Vegeta getting stabbed and not bleeding from it?) and it'd make damage more impactful.

Re: Should Dragon Ball Super Have Blood?
It should have but it probably will not have..
How much more Impactful the show will be if vegeta was bleeding on the ground after being stabbed through and gohan was wearing a reddish tracksuit after so many holes in his body..
Seeing blood is just more impactful..
It looks like they are hollow right now..
Dosen't really take away my amusement while watching the scenes though

I think it should. When you have scenes with Piccolo getting his arm ripped off or Vegeta getting stabbed though the chest or even Gohan getting filled with holes like Swiss cheese, I expect a little something to come form those wounds. They don't need to go crazy with it but it'd sure as hell beat just staring at black voids of nothingness...

Of course. Makes sense. Violent scenes should have blood.
I'm fine with something like this, at least. Ok no.

Hell yeah. I'm not saying that characters should be coughing out blood in every other fight but having it for those serious battles will make those moments seem all the more special and unique. Like you know shit is really going down.

I hope we see Black decapitate Krillin with his ki sword. Kamehameha blasts should blow people into a shower of guts and blood.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
Re: Should Dragon Ball Super Have Blood?
OMG, poor Krillin. Why would you want that? Lol.fadeddreams5 wrote:I hope we see Black decapitate Krillin with his ki sword. Kamehameha blasts should blow people into a shower of guts and blood.
I do see a Yajirobe killing in the near future.

Re: Should Dragon Ball Super Have Blood?
We did had blood in Super. The episode when they went to Planet Babari was pretty bloody. The series has been tame on the blood since GT (The Shadow Dragon saga did give us some violent moments, but still felt tame compare to the Saiyan, Namek and Buu saga. Even Freeza being cut in half in GT didn't had any blood compare to when he got cut in half in DBZ) and I don't mind having lack of blood. I don't think adding more will change anything, but I think we will see some more later in the current arc.

Re: Should Dragon Ball Super Have Blood?
This is a good follow-up to this thread about battle-damage. But yes, I do think it should for many of the same reasons as was already stated.
