Hold up....they seriously just gave away the fact that Beerus killed Present day Zamasu? Why?

Why on Earth would they spoil something significant like that for people? Thank a lot Japan, I just wanted to have a little idea of what to look forward to but now you've completely ruined what could have been a big surprise. Gowasu being murdered was more than we needed to know even if we could have guessed that but there was no need for them to spoil Zamasu's death.

Why are you in a official announcement thread if you're that concerned about spoilers?

There's been little in the way of spoilers of that magnitude. It was just supposed to be a preview in a widely public magazine giving a brief summary of what to expect.

To literally spoil it to that extent by telling us almost an entire month beforehand that a major villain is going to be killed and also telling us specifically who kills him is completely unnecessary. There was zero need for us to be told that.

And it's no good just staying out of this thread because you just watch, before you know it there will be videos all over YouTube titled "OMFG BEERUS KILLS ZAMASU".

It's dumbfounding why they would do this. The saga has been so good largely because of all the mystery behind it, the speculation, the questions etc...and then they do this.

Trunks already knew that changing the past does nothing to the Future, he had that revelation during DBZ (dunno if it was an anime only thing though).

Regarding Black, I really do wonder who he is, hope it's not just some random shape shifting character, and that he will actually have ties to the Z-Fighters.

This is what I'm wondering about. Either he fakes himself dying or his wish isn't to be immortal. It may have been future Zamasu's but maybe present Zamasu doesn't wish for that. There has to be a twist to this. This summary just seems way too fishy. We also have episode 61 title.

I am with Bullza on this 100%. There was way too much information here for an episode summary. Something like "a tense confrontation between Beerus and Zamasu happens" would have sufficed. That'd be like if they said Vegeta got stabbed by Rosé in episode 56 summary.

And people will be discussing it out of this thread so it's moot to say stay out this thread.

Anyway thank God they're not staying long in the present. I do wonder if Trunks heads back alone.

Yep. Agree 100%. That being said, I think there is a fair chance that he's not actually killed. Maybe it is that simple, but maybe there's more to it.

Trunks knows about the Time Rings and that they work differently from his time machine so I think there's no contradiction there. Besides, even if future Zamasu ended up dead as a result, there's still Black to deal with so that might be why he feels uneasy.

Beerus kills Zamasu? I think not. You can't kill an immortal person the old fashioned way. Even if Zamasu's body is completely obliterated, he'll just regenerate and come back. What happens is probably that Beerus destroys Zamasu, leaves, and then Zamasu regenerates a couple of minutes later.

If this happens wouldn't it be easier to reincarnate into Gokus dead body? Although I'm not sure that would work in the present time line. This honestly isn't making sense in terms of how time works in DBZ
