Don't forget King Piccolo. He created Cymbal to help his big bro Tambourine after he got beat by the schoolyard bully Goku

Dr. Gero raised two twins and their older bodybuilding brother. He might have had a falling out with them in the end, but at least he taught them to always stick together. He deserves a mention.
I think we can all agree that Paragus was the best father.
Paragus WAS a good father. He stood up to King Vegeta to try and protect his newborn baby! No other Saiyan would do that! And then Broly returned the favor by protecting his father from the planet's destruction.

They spent decades together after that, just the two of them living planet to planet, and no matter how horrifying Broly became, Paragus never abandoned or gave up on his son. So what a little mind control was involved, Broly was psychotic, Paragas didn't have much of a choice. And likewise, in the midst of all the civilizations and planets Broly destroyed, he apparently always took care not to get his father caught in the crossfire.

When you word it like this it goes to show the depth Broly could have had. The backstory is all right there! Then they just decided to abandon all of it just so they could have Broly kill his dad and show him as pure evil. How lame.

I need to refresh myself on that arc, but IIRC Piccolo was pretty enraged at Goku killing his children. He actually felt their pain and instantly knew when they died, that's a connection.

Although I don't remember if Toriyama ever fully rolled with this very much and portrayed Piccolo as truly caring for his children.

That arc was so short, there was hardly any time to "roll with it". It was there, regardless.

If it was the reason for Piccolo's hate of Goku, that would be enough.

Why do you think that's a bad thing?

I wouldn't say it was bad. He probably didn't want to engage in that discussion as you wanted to. There's certainly nothing ill-spirited with satire evolving into a new subject. The reaction was a bit blunt, but that's likely to express he wanted to stay in one realm than cross them.

I say we grab some torches and burn anyone who doesn't answer the way we want them to.

In all seriousness, it's shouldn't even be worth mentioning unless it was something totally uncalled for.

Sorry I guess I did derail the discussion. My bad.
Anyway back on topic another unpopular opinion that I have is that I think Raditz should have been revived and/or turn good.

- The first Dragon Ball Serie seems dated.
- But Dragon Ball Z is even more out moded than Dragon Ball.
- DBGT's OST are good, doesn't sound cheap.
- Full Color manga is the real Perfect Edition
- Majin Buu arc was the most Toriyama-esque arc
- Pro-Funi Dub are the most odious part of DB Community
- Buu has 0 charisma, a copy-paste of people he absorbed personnalities, or a dumbass who never reflect
- The best gameplay of a DB Video Game is the one of Raging Blast 2
- Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is overrated
- Kikuchi is overrated
- Faulconer didn't get DB's spirit
- Videl's evolution in DBS is the best thing it never happened to her
- Pan in DBGT is just a Videl+Bulma bis
- DBGT is cool, on paper

I'm pretty sure neither of these are unpopulare opinions.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

Hm.. For GT I know only haters, or hardcore fan, no middle, but the doubt is allow.

Although, each times I talk about RB2's Gameplay, everybody is comparing it with Tenkaichi 3 one, in favour of it obviously.. It annoys me so bad.

I think he meant out-dated. It says English isn't his native language in his bio so he probably worded it wrong on accident.

Oh, thanks. I don't agree with that sentiment, though. DB is pretty timeless imo.

I have to agree. I never really thought it had any "dated-ness" to it. If that makes any sense.

The only things dated right now are Goku's and Vegeta's outfits in the Future Trunks Arc. :lolno:
