Keeping on-topic... I'm not sure how we'd get past the whole always-wanting-to-train and eating-all-the-food things, but aside from that, I'd love to have Goku as a friend. He just seems that fun a guy to be around; it'd be rare to have a dull moment with him. I could probably even convince him to teach me stuff, like how to fly; he seems the kind of guy who'd be happy to do that kind of thing. Other people I think I'd want to hang out with would be Kuririn and maybe Gohan (especially teenage Gohan--that'd be awesome to watch him fight crime first-hand as that goof Saiyaman!). Piccolo doesn't seem like he'd be so much scary as much as "Hnn -__-", so while I probably wouldn't think of doing something fun with him, it'd be cool to just hang out with him where we can do our own thing. Vejita I'd want to hang out with once in a while as well, but only to annoy the hell out of him (as long as I don't get killed after the first few times... >_> ).

EricM, we are anime fans of a really old show aimed at "9 years old" (as Funimation puts it), if you think your too old, than I am sorry, I think your inner child is dead... Joking!

But seriously if Goku was your friend, you might not die, if you are his best friend, you are so dead, for at least 3 freaking times! I think the safest bet would be Kid Goku, your friend is just an abnormally strong kid. Not a superhero. Death rate will not be so high.

Well, seeing as how my favorite character is a toss-up between Kuririn and Piccolo, obviously I'd want to be friends with either of them. Kuririn just seems like he'd be the best friend ever to hang out with, and Piccolo... well, if you ask him, he doesn't have friends, but the "strong silent type" is something the two of us have in common.
Heck, I wouldn't mind being friends with 18

Or Lunch for that matter. Shoot, I just can't decide!
