"Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Just to throw this out there, as I'm making it up on the fly, he probably means that Goku Black originates from the original timeline. It would be that Future Goku. The alternate future the audience experiences is where the second Future Trunks resides. Goku Black traveled there with the Time Ring to meet up with our cast. I don't particularly agree with it, that's just my attempt at understanding it. Nothing has established Time Rings changing functions, as of yet. The green gleam may be a coincidence and it may not be.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
He was specifically referring to Black's ki. "Son Goku, yet not Son Goku. That is what I feel from this Black person's ki. It's really weird." Obviously Zamasu is the "not Son Goku" part.Luso Saiyan wrote:He was referring to Black, not Black's ki. Black's ki is similar (if not the same) as Zamasu, that's why Whis and Beerus go to him in U10.Terez wrote:Early on, Beerus says that Black's ki feels like "Son Goku, yet not Son Goku".

Maybe I wasn't clear. I meant "Son Goku (regarding his appearance), yet not Son Goku (regarding his ki)."Terez wrote:He was specifically referring to Black's ki.

Just to go back to what I said the other day. I complained about them spoiling that Beerus kills Zamasu, someone said I shouldn't be clicking on the thread if I was concerned with spoilers but like I said to him and as I've been seeing now on YouTube there are videos all over the place that just in the video titles have "Beerus kills Zamasu" or some fake image of Beerus killing Zamasu or even "Spoilers! The person who kills Zamasu" while having an image of Beerus in the thumbnail.
Clicking on these videos there's a lot of people complaining in the comments that it's spoilt it for them. You can't just not go on the thread because you'll still easily see spoilers.
So it's the magazines fault and I have no idea why they'd do something like that. If it's supposed to make you interested and make you want to watch it, it's had the opposite effect for me, a lot of my interest went after finding that out.
You'd think the common sense behind it would be that they wouldn't tell you these things so you can watch, be interested and be surprised by what happens.

If Funimation choose to release Super in seasons sets (With using the blu-rays prints from Japan and no changes to them like cropping in wide screen), what color would be and which character would be on each box cover? I think purple would be good since DB had blue sets, DBZ had orange sets and GT had green sets. They could do this for each main cover.

Its funny how in youtube theres a lot of videos having Beerus killing Zamasu. They are so excited to tell everybody with their interesting arts of what people would like it to be.Bullza wrote:Just to go back to what I said the other day. I think, spoiling these kind of "Big reveals" means that there's still something even bigger that they havent spoiled. Either that or the big spoiler makes you want to see the thing by yourself now (it has this effect in me at least). Maybe people like us that watch the show every week doesn't need this kind of spoilers to be interested, but more casual fans do need them for having a reason to watch the show?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
In every arc of Dragon Ball Z, when the arc seemed to reach It climax It was just on the half or almost starting the arc.
In Frieza's arc: When Goku threw the genkidama to Frieza It was the climax, we thought It finally ended but after that a really long fight came.
In Cell's arc: we can say that the climax was when Cell reached his perfect form and after that a lot of things happened.
In Buu's arc: the appearance of Buu we can consider it the climax, but after that a lot of things happened again, things we would have never imagined happened.
Since in DBS, this is the first real serious arc I'm not talking about the others
In this saga the climax could be the truth revealed behind the mystery of Black and Zamasu and if this is like the other arcs in the series, we are only in the beggining of this story, or if it is like the other arcs in DBS, we are close to its end.

In this case though, the spoiler makes it clear that Beerus killing Zamasu won't have the effect they expect. It's not the big event of the arc.

It works like that in Japan for many years. Some series even had the huge reveal in the name of the episode itself or the preview.Noah wrote:It's seems Japan doesn't have that spoiler culture that embraces us long agoBullza wrote:So it's the magazines fault and I have no idea why they'd do something like that. I don't know how they'd be divided, but they could do Black Goku for the 4th one. Off-topic, but I wish the Dragon Ball ones were orange (Dragon Balls), Z was yellow (Super Saiyan), GT was red (Super Saiyan 4), and Super would be blue (Super Saiyan Blue).Hellspawn28 wrote:If Funimation choose to release Super in seasons sets (With using the blu-rays prints from Japan and no changes to them like cropping in wide screen), what color would be and which character would be on each box cover? I don't think so. The entire quote was like, "Goku, but not Goku. That is what I sensed'. Since he used the world sense, he could be talking about ki.Luso Saiyan wrote:Maybe I wasn't clear. There have been Youtube titles that Zamasu kills Gowasu since at least Episode 53. So unless you know it was an official spoiler, most would write it off as click bait.Bullza wrote:Just to go back to what I said the other day. Cell becoming complete was never presented as the climax. It was presented as the start of the next chapter. And Buu awakening wouldn't be the climax, since he's the primary villain.Alee9977 wrote:In every arc of Dragon Ball Z, when the arc seemed to reach It climax It was just on the half or almost starting the arc.

Climax means the height of the story. The closest thing to a faux climax in the Cell Saga would be Gohan becoming a Super Saiyan 2 and knocking 18 out of Cell. For the Buu Saga, it's Super Buu reverting to Kid Buu.

Off topic, but I don't understand why so many of those channels even exist. Their entire purpose is to regurgitate news Kanzenshuu, or occasionally Herms alone, puts out. Who's so interested in Dragon Ball that they click those fan videos, but wouldn't just follow the sources they draw from?Bullza wrote:I've been seeing now on YouTube there are videos all over the place that just in the video titles have "Beerus kills Zamasu" or some fake image of Beerus killing Zamasu or even "Spoilers! Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
From what I can tell, there are people who just prefer having Youtube as their one-stop website for everything they want. Even amongst Kanzenshuu, the main page has the news, but to get episode-by-episode info on Super, you often have to go to the forums or Herms's twitter feed. If you subscribe to one channel who collates everything, it can be a lot more convenient.Cipher wrote:Off topic, but I don't understand why so many of those channels even exist. Although sometimes I wish some of those channels could put up some sort of spoiler tags when new information gets leaked...
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

Like the post above states, some people just prefer it as a one stop thing. However I personally hate when they either don't credit where they get the info from or say "this is my own theory or prediction" and literally say word for word a theory of someone here on the forums or just things that are already stated. Yet people on the videos think the YouTuber is the best source for truthful information.
As for the summaries themselves, people still think it's a major reveal but I'm positive it's an intended summary meant to make us think everything is as it says. There's definitely a twist here.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
The summaries have also been proven deceitful. Reading them, it makes it sound like Goku and the others arrived too late to save Gawasu. While in Episode 58, they're already on the scene and Zamasu knows about them. The summery for Episode 59 also make it seems that they only came to the conclusion that Zamasu was after the Time Rings in that episode. Yet, they figured that much out in Episode 58.DainIronfoot wrote: Like the post above states, some people just prefer it as a one stop thing. I don't think this is as bad because he simply doesn't know whats going on. Can't help if he doesn't know he needs to. The fact that they hid it from him shows the writers at least know that Gohan would definitely try to help if he knew about the situation.
