Nope, I also prefer It. Never particularly cared for that shot in both the anime and manga. The F special absolutely knocked those scenes out of the park. I mean, damn, they finally nailed Goku's sad look, too.
Beautiful.

Resurrection 'F' for sure. The original version's hair is just ugly.

In terms of impact frames, you don't get much better than Tate.

As for effects, I really like what Takahashi and Karasawa do.

Do you know if Takahashi did the underground scene before Shida's cut in Battle of Gods? The effects and choreography look very similar.

I've tried to make a little flash and blur effect to Goku's powering up from episode 17..It's such a little detail, but i hope it looks good :P

Its good. I think its from episode 16, because goku's design looks really old school.

Omg, that pokemon sun and moon trailer, seems like no one is safe from the shitty 21st century art.
I really hope DB never changes it's art so drastically, aside from new yamamuro subtle changes.

Farewell pokemon XYZ, you will be remembered as the best pokemon in all aspects (animation included).

On the other hand, it's probably a delight for the loose fanboys

According to Ootsuka Ken the industry is raving about the new Pokemon designs. I wouldn't be surprised if Sun & Moon is another sakuga-heavy series.

I thought Pokemon looked great... I didn't see any bad art, I only saw inbetweens being posted as thumbnails. The new designs look a lot more expressive, bouncy, and interesting to look at. I don't know why people wouldn't expect a really long running anime like Pokemon to shake things up from time to time.

That last shot of Majin Vegeta is awesome, because there are a few shots in that episode that were noticeably uncorrected:

That episode also showcases what made Yamamuro's style so good back then:

Also, on the topic of Goku's reaction to "killing" Freeza, I still think the original anime shot looks several times better, and almost identical to Toriyama's art, even with the altered expression (I even prefer it):
Image

Even though the manga makes him look more sad/regretful, as the new RoF animation tried to adapt:
Image

Still, I think trying to fix the problem of the eyes in the old shot yields better results...:

Than trying with the new shot, which still doesn't look right to me:

I actually agree. On another note though, I gotta say, Last House did some phenomenal stuff in the Namek Arc. Especially Goku's fight against Freeza after transforming into a Super Saiyan.
