It really only amounts to anything if the card art represents the actual game model summoned in the game, and they don't always.

Since, of course, I can't play the game, I really only care about the card illustrations at this point, so it doesn't matter to me. Now if the game got a western release (which is a different story), then...

My point is just that the outfit being used on the card alone doesn't mean anything. Unlike the suggested End of Z Goten as a Super Saiyan (even if the card art was just on a GT Goten card and summoned his GT design in game), the overall image isn't something new. You can see the outfit and transformation in plenty of other places, like Super itself and other promotional artwork. So it's not something I'd personally ever get excited over, or make me assume Goten is getting recognition of any sort for the game. Chiaotzu has like a dozen outfits in terms of card art, but maybe 3 in-game models? I don't know, I've lost count. =P

How are Abo & Kado called in the game in their merged form? Aka or Abokado?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

We have an official name for the Rosé KameHameHa ? According to Dragon Ball Wiki, supposedly Dragon Ball Heroes call it Super Black KameHameHa.

As expected, it seems Goku Black's Super Saiyan Rosé form is likely one of the SECs, too. Demigra's Magic-Enhanced form is also on the machine in a typical spot to show off the SECs, but doesn't actually show a card. I wonder if they just aren't revealing it this time, or if they'll make us wait until Super Heroes to get him and just make the other SEC another Broil card...?

Damn, what a waste. If only the SEC had the transformation mechanic, but not even that... None Super Saiyan 2, two of the same cards... Damn Heroes.

Better look at V-Jump's Goku Black card...

Demigra Makyoka Form is the other SEC (this is also the fourth time Demigra appears as SEC and in a row).

Where's Super Saiyan/Super Saiyan 3 Future Gohanks, Heroes? :(

Perhaps until the next batch of the normal God Mission (or Super) Dragon Ball Heroes cards are released we will get to see the very much wanted Super Saiyan variant of the Saiyan characters introduced in the God Mission series we still have yet to see, but if both of the SECs of this set had actually met face to face who would have won between them in a battle to the death?

P. S. My money would be on the one not based on lazy writing.

At first I thought it was an older Demigra or a future Fu.

I'm completely confused to what all this is. So there's some kind of story to this Heroes game right? Isn't there some kind of Dark Realm Saga and that's got Towa, Mira, Dabura, Demigra and all their new forms involved?

Does it take place after Xenoverse? or Dragon Ball Online? Because it's got the Time Breakers and Time Patrol in it so how does everything connect? What continuity is this set in?

Then I see this

http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Super_ ... lm_Mission

Is that supposed to be the manga version of this Dark Demon Realm story? Where do I read it?

I think that the Dark Demon Realm Saga of Dragon Ball Heroes takes place after the first Xenoverse, but the Dark Demon Realm Mission takes place before the Future Warrior is called upon by Future Trunks through a wish from Shenron.

Yes, there's now a story to the missions in Heroes. Albeit, a very basic story that they never actually provide any worthwhile details for.

No, it doesn't take place after anything. It's a third continuity, featuring the same factions and telling a kind of similar story to Online and Xenoverse...in the sense that it's about the Time Patrol facing off against demons from Makai (they have never been referred to as Time Breakers in Heroes). So far we've had the Birth of the Dark Demon Realm Arc, Dark Demon Realm Arc, Assault on the Hell Gates Arc, and the Demon God Demigra Arc.

As for the manga, if you want to read it, you'll have to buy Saiyko Jump every other month for the chapters. But yes, it is a continuation of the Charisma Mission manga, focusing on the Makai Arc of Heroes.

And these story arcs only started during the God Mission installments, correct?

I know the earlier Missions had corresponding cinematic and some sort of vague setting, but they aren't considered to have (as much of) a story. Is the main difference that they jumped around a lot previous to God Mission, and now there's more of a continuity to the settings and enemies, (even if it is still lacking a proper fleshing out of the story)?

Pretty much. Prior to the God Mission series, they just covered whatever material they wanted or was most fitting for promotion at the time. Some missions had a semblance of plot to them, like Bardock leading the Saiyan Army against Freeza and his forces, but most of the time it was just "this mission will feature character/group X".

The Jaaku'ryu/Evil Dragon Mission started things down the path of better organization towards something that resembles a continuous story, kind of, but that was only in the animated commercials really. We still lacked actual story content in the missions...

The God Mission not only pushed the story content a bit further, but even pulls double duty. We usually get a Makai themed arc and a secondary arc (typically based around Super now that it's on the air). The Makai arcs traditionally have more story to them than these secondary arcs, even though it still isn't much, but the latter still tend to have at least a couple dialogue exchanges in them as well, if not a cutscene or two. For example, the Rebellious Zamasu Arc that just released in GDM10 has a couple of dialogue bits before and after the final boss battles. The final Boss had Gowasu talking to the player after his mission, and the secret God Boss had Zamasu doing the same. It's nothing substantial, but more than what we used to have...which was usually nothing.

Very interesting. Thanks for clearing that up, TDC.

I'm glad they've implemented and improved on the story elements, and I hope Super DBH further improves it.
