Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

They (Vegetto and Gogeta) don't seem to attempt for a kill and there's no doubt Gogeta's components would want to spar with him on friendlier terms. It's the reason Oob exists, after all. I think that's more in tune with the philosophy the martial artists tend to share.
"Purifying?" He blew him up.
The dude Janemba possessed escaped unharmed.
Theoretically, it actually shouldn't be too hard to "purify" a demon. Remember when Goku made the Genki-Dama lock-on to Vegeta's evil ki? It detonated on contact with Vegeta, but harmlessly bounced off of the goodhearted Gohan. That's probably similar to what Gogeta did.

Please elaborate as I do not know what you mean by "pushing Vegeta's destruction"
He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Well..... their is no multiplier for fusion dance so we don't know how well Gogeta would actually do.
Potara (A x B Battle Power)
Example: 1,000,000 x 1,000,000
1,000,000,000
Ssj3 Goku did get some hits Janemba and they hurted only a little.Janemba is most likely between Buutenks and Ultimate Gohan. Gogeta beat him easily he didn't even take damage from his punch.
Gogeta may be a little weaker but the difference wouldn't be notice. If he fought Buuhan he would stomp with a tiny bit more effort than Vegito. If Gogeta and Vegito fought it would be like Goku vs Majin Vegeta.

For me its
SSJ1: Has a Goku vs Cell gap in Buuhan's favor.
Ssj2: Gogeta destroys Buu like Vegito did.

Analytic's argument are very well-thought and convincing. I agree with pretty much everything he said.
In my super-duper, and alas useless, list of power levels, I'd have Gogeta match or comfortably surpass Gohan's strength only by going Super Saiyan 2. In short, Super Saiyan
3 Gogeta can beat Buuhan easily (if he's able to keep the form and act quickly, I guess); Super Saiyan Gogeta, while a better opponent than Super Saiyan Gotenks, still gets decimated by Super Buu.
Dragon Ball Heroes kind of approves.
