Yeah but it made an even bigger hole, bigger than all the things that weren't explained in the anime.. Black never killed every Kaioshin in every universe in the anime (as far as we know at least, he might've). What is Zeno doing? Why doesn't he care if he cared about Beerus and Champa not doing their job?
That's not really a hole, it's just a difference in the continuity. No one is saying that either fills in literal plot points for one another

Agreed with this, I find myself enjoying the manga more than the anime as it explains more about the inconsistencies we see from the anime. Also, I wish that Toei or Shonen Jump are able to just bring in Masako Nozawa, Ryo Horikawa, and the other cast members, and just make the Super manga into an audio-Manga so we can just hear them portraying the Manga version of their characters. I would ask for the same with the Funimation cast but since Viz owns that, I don't see that being possible.

EDIT: Also in the case of Zeno, does anyone else believe that if all the other Gods in the universe dies then maybe something happens to him? Like with Beerus and the Kaioshin.
There's no reason to think so, especially since he has presumably had a hand in choosing them.

What inconsistencies? The manga showed a fight between Dabra and Trunks too.

Um.. what? That makes no sense. A plot hole is something that is an inconsistency which goes against logic in the plot. The plot hole: why didn't Zeno intervene? In the manga, this exists. In the anime, not yet, maybe never. It's that simple.

It's interesting that the Elder Kai was prevented from being let out of his sword in Trunks' timeline.

Edit: But when Dabura is defeated, wouldn't the sword come back and Elder Kai would be released?

Dabra vaporized it out of existence so that'd be a stretch :P

That would have been cool to get like a unlocked potential Trunks after some of whatever Elder Kai does to release all that extra power.

Lol, I just noticed that the fire got it. I guess Toyotaro really thought that out.

Honestly, the reason the anime is so bad at storytelling is because they are deviating from the standard model - manga BEFORE anime. All anime that I know of have a written manga before the anime. This ensures that the animation studios know what they are animating and do not do it blindy. It is clear that the animation studios have no direction for choregraphy when it comes to fighting or writing the story. They recently have started putting more effort into the animation but the story is still not that amazing as the manga.

I'd rather have a slower pace of Dragon Ball Super if they quality and storytelling is better. Even a manga chapter once a week or once every two weeks and then an anime episode much later is fine with me.

What?

There is no such rule or standard model that anime without any backdrop of a manga to be adapted from will automatically suffer in quality. I could 20 anime's off the top of my head that are fantastic and not adaptions from a manga. I mean, even when anime produce are adaptation from manga, they can produce extra material that is just as good, if not better, than the original source material.

Zamasu: “I really admire you two. I heard how you handled Majin Boo a few years ago.”
Kaioshin: “No, we didn’t do it alone. And besides, actions like that are supposed to be a God of Destruction’s role.”
Kibito: “But our universe’s God of Destruction is always sleeping, so…”

It seems Beerus should have handled Boo and did nothing in both times Boo was active, because he's such a sleepy kitty...
I'm gonna quote myself because nobody commented on this and it got buried in the thread. People were discussing this for a bunch of time, how Beerus was sleeping and would just get himself killed by proxy due to Boo.
These lines touch on that. It seems if the Kaioshins can't handle something the Hakaishin has to intervene.

The manga and anime can not and should not be counted as the same continuity. That being said, I think that the manga is finally doing its job properly again. Its expanding on subjects the anime has barely even touched, which in my opinion is the way it the manga should be handled. Otherwise there would be no point in reading it.

Could be Beerus also thought Boo was doing his job for him and used that as an excuse to keep sleeping. He did tell Freeza to blow up Planet Vegeta because he was too lazy to tap his finger on the Kings table. They even talked about how Beerus hasn't done any destroying for a while now and he's been perpetually awake so he clearly doesn't take his job seriously.

I still stand by what I said about wouldn't minding if the monthly manga had came before the anime.

I wish I could fast forward in time for the next release, this is too good. I loved how Trunks was able to sit down and eat dinner with his family and friends for the first time in awhile.

Because as a matter of fact: the manga is better written than the anime (power related, important details and such), I really would like if the anime followed the same path

Oh yeah, I could add that too:

It doesn't have to be a plothole, depends on how they explain it. Zen'ou also didn't intervene during the 39-year "nap" Beers had.

Sure, the manga is better... until it isn't, until it gets so far behind that it has to hastily cram a dozen events into one chapter. If it were on a different schedule, I'd agree that the manga is better, but I'd still want the show to deviate.

Even when taking that into account the manga still seems to be much more coherently written. I can deal with the rushed parts as long as the story remains coherent.

It seems Beerus was never aware of Boo's existence. He didn't recognize Boo and Freeza was his reference point when evaluating Goku initially.

I do really like the Kaioshin outfit on Trunks. :D
Made a little edit. May need some polish, but good enough i guess.
Image
That chapter was really good, i enjoyed the Kaioshin Training and fight against Babidi and Dabura.

About the Zenô thing.
I think is not informed about everything. I mean 12 Universes are a huuuge space. But all 12 Kaioshins are dead, so he had to hear about it. Let´s wait, maybe there is coming more about it, i´m pretty sure.
