As far as anime goes, Dragon Boxes for Japanese, and Blu Ray Kai (in Parts) for Dub. Period. For what they are effectively made for those are the best one can get and get the whole thing. Everything else is either simply for collectors sake or something. Which is fine. I collect all of them. But I never watch that shit. Just the first two. Everything else is either incomplete, technically inferior, or focuses on original English dub which..... Umm....

Faulconer fans disagree with this, and so does anyone on a budget.

Kai BD's are relativity cheap/affordable. Even releases that focus in the dub have the original Japanese.

I spent the last day watching S9 BD in Japanese and it was fine. I do think the BD's (save for S5) are underrated here but that's just my opinion.

Though I do still hold out for Level Set revival with Japanese Broadcast audio I'm sure everyone here would forgive FUNi for everything they did the past if that were to happen

So, it's probably safe to assume that Kai will start airing the Buu stuff after the Cell stuff ends by now, right?

It's still not confirmed, but most of us assume that it will, it's really the only natural starting point. Who knows? Maybe they'll troll us and go back to Raditz.

I can see what I wrote was confusing my bad, what I meant was we can't safely assume it'll air on Toonami because there is still no indication of that at all so we're left to assume because we have to assume but we can't assume with any validity.... yeah I dunno what I am trying to say either basically what I was trying to say was what JM wrote above my post (I didn't see his/her post until I posted)

What's wrong with the S5 bluray?

The remastering process in Disc 2 for whatever reason took a nose dive, half the picture was out of focus and blurry. Thanfully it is only disc 2, but it is incredibly unwatchable. It is actually a lot more noticeable on TV I could barely look at it, anyway here are a few shots from the disc:

Season 6 had a pretty noticeable problem with this too. I don't remember which disc(s) but the central parts of the picture were way out of focus even though the edges looked great.

Interesting, I think I only watched the last disc of 6 when it came out didn't really notice anything odd there, like 5 must one of the earlier ones.

From what I've heard, the green tint was only on the Japanese release.

Sadly, the tint is in the International Version. It was present in both the Korean & French TV airings.

I can also confirm that the Taiwanese and Catalan airings had it too.
