I don't think we need one. Goku, Gohan, and Goten seem to have non-fully outlined eyes to show their purity. Once they become Super Saiyans, which makes them more brutal, their eyes change. Gohan's eyes also changed when he became Ultimate Gohan, and it was noted & shown that Gohan's softness from before was gone. So Goku Black, who is evil, wouldn't have the same eyes as Goku.

Ginyu still kept Goku's eyes though, and Goku in Ginyu's bodies didn't have his own eyes either.

I know this one is probably old as sin and debated before, but does anyone think it would have been smarter to just make SSJ God named "Saiyan God" with the base hair as red, then SSJGSSJ be "Super Saiyan God" with Super Saiyan hair colored red... am I the only dude who loves consistency like this?
I get it, they didn't expect BoG to blow up like that, and then they had to try their luck even moreso with BoG Freeza, but sheesh. I even love the blue, and I totally acknowledge Dragonball has consistently had "we don't explain it" situations. But this one makes the professional in me absolutely go bonkers sometimes, lol.

Reason the name can't be changed like that is because of marketing SSG was already marketed as what it was in BoG so having a new form with the same name would not be smart and will be confusing so they had to come up with something else so SSGSS, granted giving the name the offical Blue label might still cause some confusion but not as much as the other example.

As for why Blue? Well it's implied kinda sorta that SSGSS is fused between SSG and SS, so the result means we get a new colour. Or that like Freeza, Goku and Vegeta both chose Blue.

Super Saiyan Blue is only the official name within Super. In all other products, the blue form is still called Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. There is also nothing saying that Goku and Vegeta chose the color of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

Which is why I said it's still going to cause some minor confusion but not as much if SSGSS had been renamed SSG.

Yes I am aware I was merely throwing that out there as a possible explanation for the colour since the DB world one can apparently pick the colour of forms.

Man, if Future Trunks reaches a new Super Saiyan level or will have his potential unlock like Gohan then that would be awesome. Hopefully we'll see Trunks becoming more powerful before the rematch against Black and Zamasu.

Hmm those are very interesting titles. Trunks must have some sort of new form he will be getting with that type of title. I mean he really is the only one outside of Goku and Vegeta and maybe Piccolo that is constantly training and trying to get stronger so I hope so. But this doesn't go well for all us who were hoping for a Fusion.

He's considerably more powerful than their Base forms since he's able to fight Rose Black with just SS2.

My point is that you can't use Trunks' sparring match against Super Saiyan 2 Goku to gauge his power since that wasn't his full power. When he went all out later, he destroyed those barrier thingy (Which he wasn't able to do before) and Beerus called him “pretty good”.

Destroying Bulma's barrier isn't saying much and Beerus called Super Saiyan 3 Goku a prodigy when he unconsciously back away when Beerus was about to attack, well he called Vegeta a weakling even after he surpassed Goku during his rage boost.

Destroying Bulma's barrier is a big deal because he destroyed those with a single attack when he went all out, whereas he wasn't able to do anything to it before with multiple punches when he was holding back. There's a difference between calling someone a prodigy and pretty good, and it's arguable that Trunks is stronger than Enraged Vegeta given his showing against Black and Beerus' statement, but that's not the point. In your first post above, you said Trunks can't be stronger than Goku in the same forms because he wasn't able to do anything against Super Saiyan 2 Goku, and I merely pointed out that you can't use that part to gauge Trunks' strength because he didn't went all out until Goku turned Super Saiyan 3.
