I meant, "need a break" in terms of his story getting an actual happy ending, instead of what seems to be an almost infinite cycle of hope and despair.

I agree with you, he's the character who suffered the most in all of Dragon Ball, ironically because he doesn't have access to Dragon Balls. If he can't bring back his mother, he will be left with Mai and once again rebuild the World; a bittersweet ending. No matters how they close his story, it won't erase Gohan's death and everything else that happened to him and Earth, he will be forever be a tragic hero.

A lot of people want that, now more than ever after Toyotaro's version came out. With no new One Piece or DB Movie on the horizon, they should focus on that.

I would rather they did an OVA about something else. There's so many more interesting story's. Maybe if they did it focusing solely on Boo, showing how he came about, him killing the Kaioshins, until we reach today's Boo and introduce the conflict that marks his Dragon Ball Online story. Sprinkle some Oob at the end for good measure.

Anything is possible, but the recent developments make Future Trunks reappearance highly unlikely in the main series.

I'm assuming FT will visit on a regular basis if he doesn't decide to stay.

Given that time travel is forbidding to mortals, and is heavily restricted even among the gods, I doubt they will let Trunks use the time machines as a weekend car ride.

By all indications, Rose is Black's Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan given that the song that played during the transformation is Birth of a God, which played when Goku went Super Saiyan God and Super Shenron's summoning, and no other time. He even called it a form a realm that no mortal could touch. The aura also matches more closer to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan than Super Saiyan.

Most likely, the notes is saying a form of Super Saiyan so they don't reveal too much about what the form is. Also, in the show, all the Super Saiyan forms are called Super Saiyan, even Super Saiyan 2, at least by Black.

If Black is Goku's body, it really isn't unique to him since it is Goku. And notes like these aren't going to spoil any key plot points or revelations.

His ki is similar to Zamasu. Not that his ki is Zamasu, at least according to Goku and Whis.

This is just a random thought, but one way to keep Future Trunks around (and able to visit without time travelling) in the event of Zeno destroying alternate timelines would be for him to become the Universe 10 Kaioshin.

Definitely unlikely, and contingent on the aforementioned speculative timeline destruction, but someone will need to fill the role of U10 Kaioshin. We now know that you don't necessarily have to be born in to it. He's not a member of the Shin race, but we've seen Whis offer to make both Goku and Vegeta into Gods of Destruction, so there's a quasi-precedent.

I don't think it will happen, but I'm just putting it out there.

I don't really feel like it's going to happen, mainly because I'd like it to, but Toriyama tying the end of this arc in with the Time Patrol concept (and thus a free time travel pass) seems more likely than making Trunks a Kaioshin.

People thinking Vegeta is gonna get SSR? Like they were all goin' nuts over the prospect that he was going to get SS3 in the BoG arc... He's lucky as hell he got freakin' SSGSS why can't they be happy with that?

I don't think Zeno's guards qualify in the Top 5 list. The list is too important to have such nobodies on it, who so far serve the role of being Zeno's annoyances most of the time.

They might personally 'guard' him, but I don't see them above Grand Priest.
