If this is Hit from well after the fight with Goku from the Universe 6 vs. Universe 7 Tournament For Earth Saga, he should be able to pull-out a win, if only barely. But If not, then Hit is royally screwed.

It's implied that he would become full of himself and lose the inspiration to self-improve without reward. He would be content being as strong as he was and would likely react negatively to loss in the future. In a way, you can blame Jackie Chun for setting alight Goku's obsessive fighting spirit. He would eventually go back to his old life otherwise, I think.

By all the way I think it's great for Mutenroshi to note this, I don't think this would be true it feels out of character for Goku, don't you think?

It would be for the Goku we ultimately know, but for Goku at that point? Probably so. His character currently feeds from growing with loss, among other traits. I don't think the wise hermit was off the mark. I'm not saying he'd stop training or the like, but his competitive edge would dull, I think.

If Gohan hadn't softened Piccolo's heart, assuming that he kept his evil nature after merging with Nail, what do you think is his game plan immediately after Porunga zaps everyone to Earth?

Not anything with a definitive answer, just something to keep our imaginations busy for 10 minutes.

Ignoring that his nature eased before he met Gohan, he would be expecting (and forcing) the child to complete his Mazoku training. He seemed to enjoy the thought of turning him against Goku. If anything, he would be entertained by making the two emotionally struggle with alliances. Maybe Piccolo would be able to mend his anger/hidden power to his control?

I don't think much of anything would change. Ignoring the fact his Saiyan heritage would demand him to keep finding strong opponents, he'd still go on the second hunt for the dragonballs to find the 4 star. He'd still end up fighting the Red Ribbon, almost dying to Tao, training with Korin and meeting and losing to Grandpa Gohan. These battles would ignite Goku's spirit to keep training and keep finding strong opponents. He may even develop a hero's complex and keep fighting to keep his friends safe after Krillin is killed, but he'd still be doing what he's doing in canon.

I'd like to think what Muten Roshi did wasn't in vain, that his lesson actually did have an effect on Goku and Krillin. That arc was basically the beginning of Goku's development, so even though it's hard to imagine the Goku that we currently know not striving to improve himself, if he never developed in that direction, it's certainly possible. His Saiyan heritage actually supports that theory IMO, the other Saiyans never trained, they were completely full of themselves, and they reacted negatively to loss rather than choosing to improve. Without Roshi's lesson, Goku would have turned out like that.

He doesn't get his potential unlocked, Super/Ultimate/Mystic Gohan never happens, and when he returns to Earth, Super Boo easily defeats him and absorbs him. Then he goes after Goten, Trunks and Piccolo absorbs them too. Cue Goku and Vegeta with Vegetto becoming a thing and the story plays out like it originally does. Honestly, not much would change. Ultimate Gohan was quite a non-factor in the story.

Trunks using the Z Sword made him a lot stronger. Won't the same happen with Gohan?

It didn't. Gohan got a bit stronger but Goku doubted he could even beat Fat Boo, let alone Super Boo who's quite a bit more powerful. Trunks was a weaker fighter too so it only makes sense for him to improve better because the Z sword presents a greater challenge for him to overcome. He probably had to power up quite a bit just to get it out of its resting place whereas Gohan can swing the thing around casually in a day.

So yeah, Gohan may or may not leave to fight on Earth, he, Gotenks and Piccolo would either die or get absorbed and then the good guys lose. Without Old Kai, they don't know about the potara so unless Gogeta happens, the good guys are boned without Old Kai.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

What if during the Cell Games, all seven of the Cell Juniors created by Perfect Cell had turned on their father and joined forces with Gohan and the rest of the Z Fighters just after Perfect Cell had ordered them to attack Gohan's father and friends?

They were only a fraction of their father's power, and the series teaches us that doubleteaming doesn't matter in the slightest. It would go as well as one would expect, and Cell would just decide to end everything then and there, unless 16 convinces Gohan to let go of his feelings while Cell's destroying his children.

Under the assumption that events play similarly, they are easily successful. Gohan should dispatch of Bobbidi's fighters without significant damage. Is there anything in particular that needs to be accounted for? I'm already assuming Vegeta won't be involved (I think he'll relax at home as he did in DBZ Movie 9), but just in case, I'll address it anyway. What would go wrong without his negative influence if he tags along? He can't get angry, with Gohan never becoming rusty, nor is he used to times of peace and his family life. He's still weaker than Gohan, so he can't stop him if he personally wants Boo revived for whatever reason. If anything, this will push Vegeta to improve quickly to the level of Kakarotto's son after witnessing his dominance. In the same way Gohan helped convert Piccolo, maybe this will provide a revelation for Vegeta earlier than usual.

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.
