This is something I've been learning lately. Usually I'll make some rude comments with something I dislike without taking other people's feelings into consideration.
Yet, sometimes, I expect to do the same for myself. It's the reason I say some stuff like "Faulconer is utter crap that panders to lowest common denomination" but I get offended by things like "Japanese weaboo music is so freaking gay man".
I realize that that's a little hypocritical and that some people really get offended when you insult things they love, just like I do. So yeah, I definitely get why people get offended when other's make dumb and extremely rude comments about things they love.

That's most of us around here, not because of the authenticity of the original language, but because the English version of Z was so cringey, and some (including myself) have problems with DB Kai.
Late reply here but the cringe factor is most definitely a huge factor. I could write a book about how many problems I have with Funimation in general much less their DB dub, but in general I have the same problem I use to have with ADV back when they were still around. Their constant need to "fix" things that aren't broken. Be it the music, the jokes, or even the character's personalities. The dub's definitely better than it was but at this point it's beyond repair in my eyes.

I think History of Trunks and the Garlic Jr saga should have fandubs with an accurate script and decent (if not excellent) voice acting. Kai has an accurate dub, and xXInfinite026Xx gave a really good fandub of Bardock Father of Goku, so it would be nice if those two things got dubs that aren't inaccurate (before the Bardock Special got the two accurate fandubs "released" on Kanzenshuu, the most accurate Bardock special dub was the Big Green dub. The Funi dub for that special had an extremely inaccurate script)

I've always had the strong opinion that Mr. Satan should have NEVER appeared during the Cell Saga. Everything associated with his character during his first appearance was beyond stupid.
I did get a few chuckles out of people's ignorance into how strong the Z-fighters were... for like a second or two! There was no way I could believe that the media, the audience, and Mr. Satan were all convinced that every Ki-related thing Goku and his friends did were "just a trick". The contempt I felt for Mr. Satan went to a whole new level when he took credit for Gohan's defeat of Cell.
DRAGON BALL IS THE KING OF (Fighting)
ANIME!!!!!!! I
n my opinion, at least...
My reaction to anything about Dragon Ball post-2013 that I don't like and/or is stupid.

You aren't supposed to like him at that moment and if you don't introduce him during the Cell Games, I don't think his development means nearly as much.

I think Toyotaro's Super manga is bad. It has all the problems people accuse the anime of (except the Goku stupid antics) only even worse. Plus quite a few of it's own.

Yeah, I hated Mr. Satan's character in the Cell Games, but he made up for it in the Boo saga.

YO! I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I rewatched some DBZ clips. Wow, the dub was horrible at times. The voice acting was pretty bad too. Kai is so much better.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

That's a pretty vague criticism. I don't think the manga is a masterpiece, but you make it seem like a hollow shell of the show, when it's a different beast.

I think that Sabat only started to improve in Kai, not in the Buu Saga Z dub.

...What about the Ultimate Uncut sets and the partial redub of Season 3?

I think he had improved in the redub, but he was also trying to emulate his old Vegeta voice at the time, so the performance itself was pretty meh.

The problem with Sabat's Vegeta in the Ultimate uncut and redub was the grunting, and the acting was still very stilted. Yes he had dropped the Drummond impression by then but Sabat was still in the early stages of figuring out his own take on the character. By Kai he nailed it. Everything since then has been so natural, I find it hard to go back to anything in the Z or GT dub. There was improvements from the Buu saga onward, but it was a very slow and gradual process, Kai was when Sabat really began to excel in that role. This video illustrates the change in Sabat's performances between the broadcast dub, the redub and Kai.

This. To me, it was a little bit better but that ugly rasp was still there. I'd give his Z redub performance a 1/5 to be honest.

I'll add that the rasp got worse in GT.

People make a much bigger deal of the rasp than I think is warranted. In Vegeta's case, it works.

To me, the rasp didn't work because it made Sabat's acting come off as forced and unnatural. When Sabat got rid of the rasp in Kai, his acting got much better.

I prefer Sabat's voices, especially Piccolo, in Z than Kai. His acting might have been worse, but the voice sound itself? Yeah, I preferred the older ones. I guess that's just me, though.
