There was a scan a bit back that showed Future Mai in an outfit that looked like a Time Patroller one. It's certainly possible when you account for all the twists this arc has presented.

Time Patrol Trunks become a thing in Super would be my choice for his character.

Me too. It would also be a good way of having him leave and return whenever the plot feels like it.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to see Future Trunks again? In the main timeline at least, if they could come up with a good story in his own time, I would gladly tune in for that.

I feel that his presence only hurts other characters, Present Trunks and Goten specially. Besides undermining the whole time-travel is a crime talk we've been getting since Jaco The Galactic Patrolman.

I'd love that as well, but it more than likely won't happen due to Super's schedule problems (though it's obviously better currently). In the event that it did, I'd want it to be a regular anime (8:30 or something) and not a YouTube series of shorts like Pokémon Generations.

Well the time patroller outfit came from the outfit, and the presumed death of Bulma and Mai. The world was a total wreck and many assumed he had nothing left in his own timeline. Now it makes less sense because Mai is alive and there are people still alive who depend on him. He can't really left his timeline now without looking like a complete jerk so I hope they don't make the mistake of making him leave his own timeline with so many people relying on him.

His joining the Time Patroll could come as some form of punishment from the gods/Zeno in order for them to turn a blind eye on him messing with their laws. Otherwise yeah, I don't want him to just abandon the world, especially since we saw how much people look up to him in his timeline. Would kinda feel like a dick move.

Personally, I think if Future Trunks DOES end up becoming a Time Patroller in Super, Future Mai might, I don't know...offer to come along with him, thinking he might need the company.

It's not like becoming a Time Patroller meant leaving his timeline forever. Xenoverse had him bouncing back and forth, as Toki Toki City was filled with Bluma's Capsule Corporation tech and Chronoa kept asking him to bring more new goodies for her to tinker around with. Granted I don't expect them to just splice Xenoverse into the story like that (not that it really fits anymore anyway, unless she gets revived or you assume he meant main timeline Bluma), as Toriyama would certainly put his own spin on it the same way he did with Bardock in Minus if they take that path. But the main point is that the concept can hold up perfectly well regardless.

I think he's gonna end up dying, sacrificing himself. Knowing Super they'd probably have him hold Black while Goku throws the Spirit Dama at him, for another Z throwback but I hope it will be a little more creative then that.
