Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
It's not unusual having a villain get rid of another villain in this franchise.
DB:
- Black killed Red.
DBZ:
- Vegeta killed Nappa.
- C17 killed Gero.
- Cell absorbed C17 and C18
- Babidi didn't care about Dabra when Buu came out and he let him be killed.
- Buu killed Babidi.
- Evil Buu consumed Fat Buu.
GT:
- Baby killed Myuu and was the reason why Rildo got killed.
- Super C17 killed Gero.
In this case Zamasu is immortal, but still doesn't mean Goku Black will need him forever.
I also thought about the other way around, but I'm not seeing Zamasu do it.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I hope not, but it is rather likely. Thus far, they seem to treat each other as real partners and not as one inferior to the other, which gives me the idea that he shouldn't.

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
No, because their life is connected to each other and it would be very cilche if we had another villain betray another villain and it would destroy the great relationship we had between Zamasu and Black.
We even had villain do that too much in a lot of the movies.
Plus Zamasu would be more harder and more interesting to defeat then Black because he is immortal. Any character who stronger than Black can defeat him. But you can't say the same for Zamasu

They never said that. And even if Black turn out be Uni 10 GoD he could still find a way to get rid of Zamasu without kill him.ChaosLordBrandon wrote:No, because their life is connected to each other.

Only thing they said so far is that Black's Ki is alike Zamasu's. Not exactly the same.

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
Very much doubt it. At this stage Black would gain nothing from betraying Zamasu expect making his job to wipe out all mortals even more difficult. Zamasu's immortality is Black's ace in the hole if things go up shit creak.

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
You assume Black == Vegeta, and Zamasu == Nappa.
But I think roles are inversed.
If Black was created by Zamasu, and the plan was "0 Mortals"... I think in the end Zamasu is the candidate to kill Black (maybe after a rebellious act).

I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.

I sure hope not. I'd really like to see a villain duo not ending in flames with one of them killing the other because reasons..

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
I could actually see it go either way, as both have precedence in Dragon Ball already - the 'servant' destroying the 'master' (Androids 17 and 18 turning on Gero), and the 'master' destroying the 'servant' (Vegeta getting rid of the fallen Saibamen). Really though, I hope that if it does come to that point either way, that it manages to catch us relatively by surprise and leave us going 'HOLY SHI-' again.

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
As far off as it is, I'm looking for Black to have a change of heart because I'm looking for him to turn out to be a Goten from the 4th timeline. I'm looking for him to sacrifice himself to kill Zamasu. If Zamasu can hop timelines he could have grabbed a "Saiyan" which turned out to be Goten and took control of him and either erased his memory's or brought out the evil within his heart. Maybe Goten's harboring a secret disappointment for his father for not always being there. Anyways its not the first time we've seen a villain develop a fascination and admiration for the Saiyan's natural power and body, even Champa wanted a Saiyan on the team. I wouldn't be surprised if Zamasu seen the real Goku and decided to grab one himself. The reason I say Black will sacrifice himself is because I can't see him betraying Zamasu and still live because to me you can't continue the arc without Zamasu whom it started with. The story's more focused around him then it ever was Gero, who showed up more or less already evil. I couldn't see Black turning good and living either as he's done too many bad deeds that can't be undone.
Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
Their only shown disagreement so far is over Gokû Black not wanting to be immortal. If it comes up again I could see something coming of it.
On hiatus.
Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
I hope not. A villain who seems to be genuinely respectful and committed to their ally is a rarity in this series. Zamasu's suggestion of immortality implies he has no intention of trying to do away with Black.

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
It all really depends on what Future Zamasu should say about or to Goku Black in the future.
Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
You seem to assume that Black is the one who the final battle will be with. But I think if it is not both of them or a fusion, it is Zamas who ultimately is fought.

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
I would say no considering he just asked Black to wish for immortality. If there was to be any kind of betrayal it won't be in this arc. They have a genuine like for each other.
Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
I don't think to defeat Black will be so simply...Black becomes stronger by getting punishment...He could surpass even Whis...At this time I think he is stronger than Beerus, so we could have only 6 (Whis, Vados, Daishinkan, Zen'o guards and Zen'o itselfs) stronger than him...But I don't think these guys will fight Black.ChaosLordBrandon wrote: Plus Zamasu would be more harder and more interesting to defeat then Black because he is immortal. In other hand, Zamasu is immortal, but he can be sealed (like Beerus sealed the old Kaioshin)...Goku, Vegeta or Trunks can learn a technique like Mafuba (Roshi, Tien or Piccolo could teach them)...Or even wish Zamasu to become mortal again.

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
Yeah well the disagreement started over not wanting Son Goku to be killed, it ended it a friendly resolution but in the heat of battle Black may just snap and it about to kill him and Zamasu stops him and this time thingd may not resolve as they did before.Chuquita wrote:Their only shown disagreement so far is over Gokû Black not wanting to be immortal. Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
Hmmm, I think the answer depends on what Black's true identity turns out to be. As of now, I couldn't see a betrayal happening between these evil life partners, but depending on what this week's episode reveals about Black, maybe it could happen. For example, if Black is a version of future Gokuu's body/soul that was corrupted by Zamasu, it's possible they could go the route of Gokuu eventually regaining control of his body, then joining the heroes to fight Zamasu. I'm really hoping they don't do that, but it's something that could happen.
I'll echo the sentiment that it feels more likely for Zamasu to betray Black than the other way around, though still not highly likely. He did show some proclivity for betrayal since he was willing to kill his master, but that was because he had something to gain from his death, plus they were ideologically opposed. With Black being his kindred spirit working toward the same goal, it's not likely he'd turn against him before their goal is achieved. I could see him planning to off him once all the other mortals are dead, since his plan is for "zero mortals" and (as far as we know) Black has a mortal body. But obviously that point in the plan will never be reached, since the heroes will stop them first...unless something goes very, very wrong!

Re: Do you think Black may betray Zamasu?
With so much focus on Zamasu I think it would be great if Black turned on him.
Maybe Black tells Zamasu he's decided to wish for immortality after all....so they round up the Super DB and Black actually wishes to strip Zamasu of his immortality and kills him. Maybe he says something like "Your use to me has run out...how shameful for a fighter to hide behind immortality. You were always weaker but your pride led you to see us as equals"
Or something less cheesy. Lol
