Hmm I think that is going to be a problem for Beerus. Like Toriyama said even the Omni King will be involved. Black Goku is going to get to strong at one point.

I just thought of a possible explanation for everything...

Future Zamasu meets Goku at the multiverse tournament and then uses the Super Dragon Balls to create copies of himself, make his original self immortal, and then swap one of his copies bodies with Goku. He then gives his copies time rings and sends them out to all universes and timelines to wipe out all mortals. This would explain why Black knew who Vegeta and Trunks were (they would have been at the multiverse tournament too), and knew about the kamehameha, but he didn't know anything about Trunks' time machine.

This is so easy:

We have a timeline (1) when Trunks advice about Black, and Bills destroys Zamasu. So there is other future timeline (2) where Black never arrived because Bills destroys Zamasu before.
If there is no Black, Trunks never would travel to the past and He would live in peace with Bulma and Mai.
So there is a new timeline (3) where Trunks never arrived from the future because there was no Black, here Zamasu could do his plans, became inmortal, create Black and go to the Trunks timeline (4) because there was no Bills, and here is when the circle starts.

So there is a fucking paradojical vicious circle between 4 lines, it's necessary to have 4 timeline to explain this bullshit as in Cell saga.

I honestly like this theory, but I don't think that is the case, because of all Black's, 'this body' comments. It would suggest something is in Goku's body. But, as I pointed out, we have seen a body switch before, and they never acted like this. However, since these are the Super Dragon Balls, things could work differently. There is definitely something missing here and I can't just see this as Zamasu just jacking Goku's body.

I didn't say anything about it being in another timeline. And maybe Goku was the strongest, or maybe he swaps his copies bodies with multiple warriors? It would make things interesting if he did, that's for sure. And Black wouldn't be a copy of Goku, that's his actual body but with one of Zamasu's copies minds inside of it.

In what other situation would Zamasu meet Goku at the multiverse tournament? We also know he didn't care about other fighters since he saw Hit fighting Goku, and he didn't give a damn about him. Despite the fact that he was fighting evenly with Goku without god ki. By all indications, Zamasu didn't make a copy of Goku, he has Goku's actually body.

And, the reasons he became obsess with Goku was not just because of his power, but also because he was a jerk who dared to hang out and fight the gods. He hates Goku for what he is.

This whole thing is confusing and hurts my brain, but as said earlier in this thread:

Before the start of the arc, I thought the idea of Goku Black was disappointing then it turned out to be one the better stories in Super. I'm looking forward to see how this whole Zamasu is Black (kinda) thing plays out before I pass judgment.

No other situation. Zamasu meets Goku at the multiverse tournament in the main timeline. How can that happen if Beerus just killed him? Simple. Future Zamasu realized Beerus and Whis were on to him in the past (or the present, aka future Zamasu's past) so he swaps one of his copies with his past self and sets him up to get killed, that way they think he's been defeated when he really hasn't.

We also know he didn't care about other fighters since he saw Hit fighting Goku, and he didn't give a damn about him. Despite the fact that he was fighting evenly with Goku without god ki. By all indications, Zamasu didn't make a copy of Goku, he has Goku's actually body.

Lol, Toriyama destroying fan theories since the og dragon ball, i've met a lot of people that believed that Black was exactly like Xicor from af, a Goku-like character created with Goku's dna and a Kaioshin's dna.

It doesn't spoil the tournament, it just means future Zamasu would have been at the tournament, which we already knew because the Kaioshin attend these tournaments. It explains perfectly why future Zamasu knows who Goku and Vegeta are, and knows about the kamehameha. It's so obvious I'm surprised I didn't think of it earlier.

You'd think people would learn by now. People have already had this reaction multiple times before only for them to like it when we see it ourselves. This fanbase is pretty bad when it comes to knee-jerk reactions.

Well, I'm not disappointed with the answer. It's not just what I wanted.
Being Goten somehow or the GoD from Universe 10 would be my top choices.

Especially the former. The idea of Zamasu using Goku's son as a revenge tool and turn out to Be Goten Black vs Future Trunks all along would be great to me.
I would still need to work that out though.

It would have kind of explained Goten's long absence from this Arc as well.

On a side note, I don't like the fact that they just gave away Black's identity in the summary, it would have been better if they saved that for the episode. Creates better suspense for the audience. Now I have an idea as to what I should expect before watching episode 60.

I have no idea why you would do that to your self. YouTube comments are the absolute worse, full of uneducated, uninformed, exaggerated comments.

They used to be my community for BoG news etc until I found Kanzenshuu, they made me hate Kai the original Japanese etc but after a few months here I became wary that I may have been wrong about Kai and even made a post about it! I rarely visit commet sections of DB YouTube vids even from the likes of GD101, If I want to see people's opinions I come here

I usually find it faster to read news than watch a video on it. Not that I don't watch stuff online, but when it's news it's easier for me to scroll through for info.

The only db-related YouTube stuff I watch is usually TFS, Kanzenshuu podcasts, and Ajay's animator information videos.

Everything else I watch online is usually general entertainment, tv, reviews, movies, etc. Also TFS' gaming channel is a lot of fun. That soundboard they have and are slowly accumulating more and more clips to is great!
