I'd chalk this up to Goku's Saiyan instincts influencing Zamasu's personality. A thirst for combat that's basically coded into the DNA of Goku's body + Zamasu' already unhinged mentality would create the kind of guy Black is.

Future Zamasu, while having no qualms about killing mortals doesn't come off half as malicious as Black about it.

That finger that Black made at the end sure as hell wasn't devoid of hilarity. "Fuck all those ningen that stand in my way!!!" My sides are in extreme pain and probably even worse than Goku's pain of steroids after using Kaioken against Hit.

It's possible, but unlikely, since Black said he already killed him.

I think he means the one that you see fall in the opening.

And just like that, that part with "Zamasu" falling in the OP just made a LOT more sense...

BTW, something just occurred to me. I think that Zamasu might just be the FIRST villain in all of Dragon Ball's history to possibly straight up murder Goku/"DIRECTLY" take Goku's life. Seriously, I've been thinking about this ever since Black revealed that he killed Goku after stealing his body. I mean, think about the two times in the ENTIRE series in which Goku has actually died:

Raditz - Goku HAD to do what he did, holding Raditz in a Full-Nelson if it would help Piccolo get a clean shot at him.
Cell - With Cell seconds away from self-destructing and taking the entire planet along with him, Goku had no other option left but to teleport him off the planet.

What do these things have in common? Goku WILLINGLY sacrificed himself for the greater good of the world/galaxy/universe. This time around, I REALLY doubt such a situation would arise in terms of Black killing him, which is what makes me think Zamasu might just be the first villain in the franchise as a whole to pull off what countless others have tried to do and failed: Actually kill Son Goku. No sacrifices or any other special cases.

Hard to say because those titles were only half tiles and provisional and remember the titles can be misleading or focus on a small aspect of the episode for example the recent episode. Also shave to remember that there are two villains here so it is quite possible that Goku is going after one and Trunk/Vegeta are fighting another. Also given its Goku I very much doubt somethings happened to him I will be genuinely surprised.

I wouldn't say that Goku Black is a complete clone of Zamasu with another body. While their goals may be the same, in Episode 59 of Super, Black possess that fighting spirit that encompasses the character of the real Goku. He does not want to achieve the same immortality Zamasu has, but rather wants to further boost his fighting powers like a true Saiyan would. Zamasu just does not have that spirit as he rather attain immortality instead of doing what Black is doing.

We saw a major different them last episode. Future Zamasu wanted Black to wish for immorality like him. Black said no because he just wants to get stronger and immorality would make him rusty, which is a very Goku/Saiyan mindset. Future Zamasu also hates Goku's guts, while Black admires him, which makes what he did to Goku utterly creepy. Especially his, 'rejoice Son Goku, thanks to me, you have reached the height of beauty'.

Add to that the two scenes in which Black comments on how Trunks and Vegeta's demeanour is very "un-saiyan" (implying he has some insight about saiyans' nature).

I agree, Black is definitely not just a Zamasu clone inside a vessel like some are claiming, it seems pretty obvious that Zamasu and Goku personalities have merged (in my headcanon it's actually Zamasu and Kakarotto that have merged ), in a way we could argue that a whole new being was born from the moment Zamasu took over Goku's body.

Yes. The half-titles should be Trunks' Super Power and Vegeta's Fierce Battle, if I recall correctly.

Also, it was Future Zamasu who wanted Black to take his time killing Goku so he can get stronger, while Black just wants to kill Goku.
