DragonBall Z Abridged

At the end of Christmas Tree of Might, Vegeta states the whole thing was "so non-canon it hurts." There is no corner, it probably won't even be acknowledged. It's just a movie with no impact on the main story.

Cool episode. Got some big laughs.

Only quibble is I was hoping Popo being the strongest would be over by this arc. He's funnier (to me) when everyone's surpassed him but the mental scars he left are still open.

That said, how was it like editing Vegeta's fall from the lookout, Kaiser?

Judging from their Xenoverse playthrough, I'd say it's safe to say that nobody will be surpassing Popo for a long time.

I always assumed nobody would ever surpass Popo in DBZA. He's probably like the evil half of Zeno or something

I wonder how they're going to handle his interactions with Majin Buu?

I'm betting that instead of Boo absorbing Popo, Popo will absorb Boo. Every scene inbetween that and Goku and Vegeta cutting everybody loose inside Boo's Popo's body will basically have Boo recolored black and having Popo's mannerisms. Also, a pink Super Boo will be present inside Popo's Stomach instead of Fat Boo..... err.....

How would that work? xD

Yeah, but TFS is big on continuity right now, so it wouldn't make sense if they aren't stronger than him. It was okay in the Saiyan Arc, because back then he was just evil and didn't seem to care about anyone, so him letting all of them die against Nappa and Vegeta made sense.

Him still being stronger and not doing anything (despite him telling the dragon to let them live back in the frieza fight) doesn't really make sense with the character or the plot.

By what means? Popo's inaction has nothing to do with his strength; that much should be immediately evident. He has no interest in being part of the action.

I love how Trunks just basically ditches Vegeta after Piccolo goes into the Room o' Spirit and Time. An indicator of things to come with those two?

hate to be that nitpicky guy, but...how did ZTV knew about Saiyans? I know in anime Yajirobe let people know about Saiyans, but it didn;t happen in Abridged

There was an entire news crew from the Daily Planet at the beginning of the fight. Nappa killed them.

This is a fight that SHOULD have happened in Z, but I guess Toriyama never got around to it...that's something that would be really neat to see, especially with the talent of editing we have in 2016.

It is doable with some tricky editing, maybe an edited green fist hitting Vegeta here and a Saiyan glove punching Piccolo there. Use some footage from GT for some fresh Piccolo moves and you've got a winning 1 minute battle that fans always wanted to see.

Or maybe they decide to do a quick battle on the playstation instead, crossing TFS let's plays into DBZA for a legitimate reasons.

It kinda does, actually.

He was essentially evil in the Saiyan Arc, yes? So it stands to reason he wouldn't care about the Earth or its people, even though he could stop Nappa and Vegeta with ease. However, and maybe you're unconscious about it, you've slowly been humanizing him (SLOWLY) over the course of the series, to where people are endearing to him now.

It's just plain odd that he wouldn't do anything if he's still that much more powerful than the other characters, despite having grown attached to them. The only way it makes sense with his character (as well as Goku laughing off getting hit by him earlier in the arc) is if he's been surpassed by Piccolo, the Saiyans and Cell.

Congrats on voice 13, by the by.

I kinda agree with this point, if Popo is above everyone else why not simple take the planet as the ultimate ruler?
