Gotta settle for them UDM keychains (even then I think that's only Hit who has one).

sailorspazz wrote:The question is, which network will get it? Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney...? None of them air a lot of anime anymore, but Dragon Ball is still well-known enough that any of them might be willing to give it a shot.
Honestly, my hopes are pinned on Cartoon Network, since it'd be easier for Toonami to eventually nab it as well. That would be the best case scenario right now in my mind - an 'edited' airing that airs at a time easier for kids to get to it on a channel they're likely to watch, and then an 'uncut' airing later at night on Toonami. Though really, so long as we get an uncut home release (which there's no doubt that we will), an uncut TV airing isn't really a requirement at all, it'd just be a luxury.

Though, since I no longer have satellite and just have Netflix and Hulu, I'm left high and dry until a home release regardless probably. :?
ArchedThunder wrote:Airing it on Nick next to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles would probably be the best place, but I'd also like it on Cartoon Network followed by an uncensored airing on Toonami, but the uncensored version will probably be DVD/Bluray only like with Kai.
My entire childhood is basically jumping up and down in joy at the very notion of TMNT and Dragon Ball airing back to back though, not gonna lie.

My worry if normal CN airs Super, it will likely be on a bad time slot. CN is known to treat 3rd party shows poorly seeing that they didn't do a good job on marketing Thunder Cats, Green Lantern and Young Justice. Both Sonic Boom and Transformers also air on shitty time slots.

Normal Nick could work since they do a good job on marketing TMNT and Power Rangers since I still see merchandise for the newer shows for them at stores. There is always Nick Toons, but not everyone has that channel though.

With the success of Kai on Toonami, there's no way they're not going to air it there. It might replace Kai after it ends.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Kakarotto92 wrote:Super's Goku is a disgrace and by far my biggest issue with this series, on the other hand that's probably the only thing that GT did better (along with being post-EoZ).
Super Goku did bug me a little ever since his fight with Beerus in the BoG arc, but it didn't bug me that much... until I re-read the whole manga, and I noticed that he stopped acting like that ever since the Red Ribbon Army arc ended.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Aside from inconsistent animation and power levels, Super would be far more enjoyable if they fixed the way Goku is portrayed in the show
Holy shit! Massive props to whoever I saw a few weeks ago suggesting the Mafuba. I kinda laughed at that at first, thinking it was used far too long ago to be brought up again. Excited for that!
I will admit this running back and forth to the past and future is getting a liiiiittle annoying, but hopefully this is the last of it.

Indifferent. Cool to see an old-school technique coming back but nothing to be excited about.
At some point in the past few weeks, someone either here or on the r/dbz ask if the mafuba would come back to defeat the immortal enemy. I thought this would be really cool but doubted it would come back. The hype that Goku might use the mafuba is so high for me right now. Also Trunks is going to fight Black on his own? Another hope I had was that trunks would be the one to beat black some how. Here is hoping he can pull it off.
Goku learning the Mafuba in the past while Trunks and Vegeta take on Black and Zamasu in the future will be interesting to see. Can't wait for the new titles and summaries. Color me excited.

Here's the whole thing.

Is this Roshi's, Tien's or Piccolo's moment in this arc? Forget about Goku learning it this is the perfect opportunity for other characters. I am actually a little excited now about this arc.

No nees to put spoiler as everyone knows that this thread spoils everything anyway.

Damn, Black and Zamasu STILL overwhelm Goku and co.? I'm loving this. Toriyama beating our expectations. And Trunks deciding to stay behind and fend them off? That's my boy.

I got a bit confused on that Jump scan. It says "Goku and co." so I would assume he's bringing someone with him, but I personally don't think it would be Bulma and I doubt Vegeta would even consider running away after what happened last time, and also based on the short titles we got for the next few episodes. Going to be interesting!

Now I'm wondering what container they plan to use for the mafuba. A tea pot perhaps?

That's one way to deal with an immortal being. This reinforces my theory that Zamasu might become a recurring villain.
Trunks dealing with Black stinks, he's much weaker. Let's see what happens.
