The entire thread revolves around announcing any feature of Dragon Ball Super. I wouldn't say it's necessary. One should know what to expect when entering here. There's a valid case when creating new threads though.

One way I can see this working is if Present Zamasu somehow faked his death and stole Goku's body (our main Goku) when he flees back into the past to learn the Mafuba.

Or maybe in Otherwould Zamasu finds dead Goku and steals that body?

Not of these will probably happen, but I'm just speculating hardcore right now.

Awesome, I knew it was present Zamasu! I just didn't find it very likely that they would suddenly introduce a third Zamasu out of nowhere, and it wouldn't have meshed well with the time loop theme that Toriyama and Toei were obviously going for.

I still have no idea how they're going to explain it, but if I had to hazard a guess I'd say that the Zamasu Beerus destroyed was some sort of fake decoy and also that the Goku he traded bodies with comes from one year in the future (considering he needed to travel a year ahead to make a wish with the Super DBs).

So all the development we saw for our Zamasu is intact. Felt that they gave him too much to then be tossed aside like that.

So I guess I've had my "Which Zamasu" question answered now. What I want to know is how he survived, really. If Black is Main Timeline, aka Present, Zamasu, he's supposed to have been annihilated by Beerus. I always had the feeling Present Zamasu would survive, but seriously, how did he do it? He didn't wish for an immortal body, because he swapped bodies with Goku and then destroyed his old body. He might have wished for an immortal spirit at some point, in which case oh boy. However, he was killed before his plans started, so really, he shouldn't have made any wishes at all. Man, these next 50 hours are gonna kill me!

My guess is since Zamasu is inexperienced when using the time rings he accidentally created a second present Zamasu and when our Zamasu came back that Zamasu was stuck in that one year future.

My head needs a rest. Lol.

Zamasu challenging Beerus and Whis seemed suspicious, the character wasn't presented as stupid. He also didn't lose his composure, like he did when Goku defeated him.
Can't wait for next episode, it should explain most of our questions.

That isn't entirely true. At least one of the time rings was directly insinuated to go to a different timeline, so there can certainly be a connection.

Black already existed before all the present Zamasu stuff, remember the present timeline and Trunks' timelines are not connected.
