MUITO LEGAL! I LOVE Rede Brasil now. If only they also went for a One Piece redub. That would be TOTALMENTE DEMAIS.

The Brazilian dub has always been one of my favourite dubs of the series because it didn't only have a great script, it also had an amazing cast composed by voice actors I heard and know from other animes like Saint Seiya and Captain Tsubasa.

Regarding Saint Seiya, what dub will be aired in Rede Brazil? because I know the series has two dubs (The first one which was based on the Latin Spanish version recorded in Gota Mágica and the second one recorded in Álamo).
A little too late but yeah, I've been officially active in Kanzenshuu for ten years :)

The will use the Álamo dub for Saint Seiya, the old Gota Mágica dub was lost after Rede Manchete (the channel that aired Saint Seiya with this dub) went bankrupt.

Not only Saint Seiya and Captain Tsubasa, but many others like Fullmetal Alchemist, Pokemon, Gundam Wing, Evangelion, Fullmetal Panic, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, among many others.

That is because the biggest part of anime series in Brazil were dubbed by studios in the big São Paulo. You can see that for the other roles they did. A few examples:

https://myanimelist.net/people/1423/Marcelo_Campos (Future Trunks)
https://myanimelist.net/people/7350/Alfredo_Rollo (Vegeta)
https://myanimelist.net/people/11453/Raquel_Marinho (Chi-Chi)
https://myanimelist.net/people/11518/F%C3%A1tima_Noya (Kid Gohan and Kid Goten)
https://myanimelist.net/people/7974/Wellington_Lima (Majin Boo, Bardock, Raditz)
https://myanimelist.net/people/1108/F%C3%A1bio_Lucindo (Krillin)
https://myanimelist.net/people/1830/Wendel_Bezerra (Adult Goku)

Not so far from some experienced japanese actors that works a lot with anime, or even some english actors like Steven Blum, Kirk Thornton, Johnny Yong Bosch and others that have a many experience with anime series.

And that counts only anime roles. They worked in many movies, tv series, cartoons and videogames too. Just two examples: Wendel Bezerra(Goku) is famous for dubbing characters like Spongebob, Steve Smith(American Dad), Sam(Lord of Rings trilogy) among others; and Wellington Lima(Majin Boo, Bardock) is famous for voicing Stewie Griffin(Family Guy), Bender(Futurama) and Eric Foreman(House), among others.

It would be cool but I don't think that it would happen. Rede Brasil is knowed also for broadcast classic shows, or old shows if you prefer to call like that. One Piece is not that new but is still airing. I think that is possible for them to broadcast inedit old anime in Brazil, like for example Slam Dunk, Hokuto no Ken or the original Mazinger Z(that include is rumored to having a dub in process in Brazil now). And I used those three examples because they are Toei's properties, like Saint Seiya and Dragon Ball Z are too, so maybe it would be easier to them to buy and broadcast it.

In fact, I already know they worked in other anime, animated series and stuff, I was just giving Saint Seiya and Captain Tsubasa as examples.

Rede Brasil changed the release date to October 31 for unknown reasons.

And here's a commercial announcing DBZ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYGl3BLy7-M

If only the Level Sets succeeded, then they would have been the HD master other companies used.

According to ANMTV, they got only the first 107 episodes and they will only get the rest if the ratings are good.

Check the newest commercial. It clearly is the FUNimation HD "remaster".

On this special program, Toei Animation president said that the version they gived to Rede Brasil was a "Remastered HD 16:9 version" so, it's indeed the Funimation Blu-Ray version.

It's really sad how FUNimation's abomination distributed internationally...

In hindsight, the Level sets shouldn't have been released so close to the Dragon Boxes and Kai. I think if Funi waited a few years for the DB market to settle down, the Season Blu-Rays never would have happened...

DBZ actually had 2 dubs. The first one got every episode and aired on Cartoon Network, Band (saiyajins to Cell sagas) and Globo (Boo saga). In this first dub, Piccolo had a different voice in the first episodes (Leonardo Camilo), changing to his iconic voice (Luiz Antônio Lobue) in the early episodes. Vegeta and Nappa arrival already had the change. A second dub of these early episodes had Lobue voicing Piccolo already in the first episode and on. Both dubs had the same cast

Watching this commercial we can clearly hear Piccolo with Camilo's voice, so I believe Rede Brasil will use this first dub
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB8IMc8222w

About the episodes, I believe Toei sent the most recent remaster (they sent also to Portugal and Mexico if I'm not mistaken) as we can see in the commercial. I don't like it personally, but it's good to see Dragon Ball returning here oficially. We had news about an Kai Boo saga dub, but nothing more. At least, Dragon Ball Super is airing here by Crunchyroll, and I'm really happy!

I don't think there are two different dubs. When Globo broadcasted Z they did some editions in the audio and Lobue for what I know redubbed Piccolo's lines in the first 6 episodes for constancy. But it's a different case of for example, YuYu Hakusho or Saint Seiya, that actually have two different dubs for each series in brazilian portuguese.

And Cure Dragon, "Porra" means "cunt" in english, but can be understanded as an effect expression, like "Fuck" or something like that. "This is Brazil, fuck!", or something similar to that.

And well, I'm curious now not only for the two series they will broadcast, but how it will be this "Senpai TV" program they will broadcast. For what I know it will be something about anime, tokusatsu and japanese culture in general. I like that. And I would like more if Rede Brasil could buy more Toei shows, speccially the ones that weren't released in Brazil before, like Mazinger Z(that is being dubbed only now in Brazil and the media it will be released it's unknowed), Getter Robo or Slam Dunk.

No, Portugal is still using the old masters, to the best of my knowledge.
