Actually, I'm not even sure if that JUS Ds lite was ever released, MisterFlashdude. I've searched every where on the web, and I still can't find it.

I'll search for it once more, but if I don't find it, I'm going to assume it was ULTIMATELY never released. (Wow, I'm so punny.)

Well, I just finished the story mode, and I've gotta say that the game was pretty sweet. I especially liked the 8 koma baddie that you could play as once finishing the last level. It makes accomplishing pat missions (that I haven't completely finished all the way) a lot easier.

And just to clear some stuff up, I'm guessing that the 8 koma prof. is an older version of Dr. Mashirito (in a new Caramel Man mech)?

I haven't played the game, but I am curious about how they managed to work Death Note into the games mechanics. I mean it would be kinda lame if it went something like this.

Light: What did you say your name was again?
Yugi: Yugi Moto. Why do you ask?
Light:No reason. *writes"Yugi Moto, April, 3rd (or what ever day their fighting on) , bleeds to death from massive paper cut on his wrist sustained when he tries to play his first card in his battle against Light Yagami" *
Yugi: What was that you just wrote?
Light: Oh that was just my diary.
Yugi: You call your diary Death Note?
Light: Yes.
Yugi: Anyway, It's Time to Duel , I play the AUGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Since doing it that way would unbalance the game. How did they resolve this issue?

Death Note characters are merely support characters. You can't use them as your base characters, but you can summon them for on field support. For example you can have Light write down the name of the player or com you select to knock them out in 10 seconds. That's if you can successfully pull it off. Light's support can be easily evaded.

What's worse, for some reason, in those particular matches that require defeating 'X' amount of characters with a support character, Light's ability doesn't count. :x

I just had a quick question:

What's the deal with the PLAYER TITLES? You know, the title given to you as a player... How many are there? How do you get them? What do they mean?

Mine used to be "Treasure Hunter" in Katakana, and now it's a crapload of Kanji. I've looked around online but no places even discuss it.

After buying and beating Super Stars from my local Best Buy, I went on ebay and scored Ultimate Stars for a good price.

Anyways, I used an awesome guide on ign.com to get through Super Stars and was wondering if there was a similar guide around for Ultimate Stars?

I was hoping that IGN would repeat it's JSS guide of awesomeness for JUS. However, that was not to be... In any case, GameFAQs is your friend! They have all you need there: mission translations, unlocking guide, character boost guide, etc.

No one can answer my question about the titles? I'm really curious. :(

The whole gear 2/3 thing.
My theory is that Luffy only does Gear three for his special attacks. For everything else he's still in Gear 2.
That make sense?
I ordered the game on the 28th. It's taking agonizingly long. I shouldn't get so anticipating... last night I had a dream I was in Jump Ultimate Stars as Gotenks...

I'm right there with you... I just preordered "Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +" and I can't wait!

But I wanted to ask... should I just start another thread regarding my previous question? Seems like this thread is kind of deserted... :/

Wow. I thought Mike's story about all the other players ganging up on him during his wifi battle was one of those once in a blue moon kind of things, but I just had one of those battles!

They definitely didn't know each other, since I chose the random battle option. They simply just attacked whoever started attacking another player. This was how it went for the first three battles with these guys (so I lost). But by the fourth match, I wanted to at least go on and KO at least one of the guys. Luckily, I was able to.

Then I reached the Sudden Death with the other two guys who kept chasing me around the arena beforehand. It looked like they would both gang up on me, but once I hit my "taunt" button, they completely ignored me. Apparently, hitting the select button is some kind of code that tells the others that they won't attack if you don't either.

Anyways, I was planning on boosting up my special bar and KO-ing the other two, but time ran out and we all got first place. I feel kinda bad about winning so cheaply, but at least I made some sort of effort to fight. The others, as high as their koma characters were, seemed to make rookie moves and would actually KO themselves by flying out of the ring occasionally.

I was already pissed when listening to Mike's story in the podcast, but having it happen to me just made me even more bitter...

Well, I've come to realize that nobody plays regular wifi for fun anymore. They do it just to boost their records. First off anytime I play, the rules are usually death match, 30 seconds, with everything on. When the fight actually starts they either don't do anything or if they are in the same series (like if one person has Sasuke and the other has Kakashi), they do their little special and start teaming up against people.

From there, they wait until sudden death and kill whoever is left. After that, they do their poses until time runs out and they both get wins. So yeah, its a bunch of crap now. My advice would be not to pick your deck until you see the leader picking the rules (you can do this by pressing Y). If the rules are crappy, just leave the match. People do that to me when I pick normal rules anyway. Oh and by the way, I guess I'll plug my belated Jump Review. :)

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Well, I just got the game at Otakon, and I'm using GameFAQs to slowly but surely figure out how to play. It's pretty fun so far.

I'll put my FC up on the other thread in a few minutes. Once I get rolling, I'd love to get my ass kicked by you guys.

.....I can't even count how times I got my ass kicked & threw my DS at my bed. I'm getting better at it though, so those times have been few now.

Quick question. What exactly is required in a deck? I'm trying to fiddle around and make one, but it's giving me some kind of error message when I save it, and not letting me use it.

EDIT: Well, looks like it was because I hadn't assigned a leader. Problem solved, so I'll go with another question.

What exactly do the 1-koma, helper characters do? You can point them to assign to a playabe character, and one of them sparkled for some reason (assigning Roshi to Goku). Do they give stat boosts or something?

Hey, where's the place to pick this game up for a good price? And once I get it, any recommendations on characters?

$39.90 @ Play-Asia
$39.95 @ Toys N Joys
$39.99 @ YesAsia
$45.90 @ NCSX
~$20.00 - 30.00 @ eBay

As for characters, it's really a matter of just testing everyone out and seeing what kind of characters you like to play as... and then experimenting with making teams out of them.

All right I just got this game, and I would say it's cool but I can't even get to the first level. I know this question is going to sound stupid and I know once I get the answer I'm going to feel like even more of an idiot, but I'm completely lost.

All right, I beat the Earth tutorial and the Asteroid tutorial, but whenever I go to J-Space, there's no levels there and once I click on it it sends me back to Earth. What am i doing wrong? Was I supposed to unlock another battle koma or something? I already unlocked a couple Support koma and it won't let me unlock anything else. I'd greatly appreciate some help.
