Most evil villain?

Who do you think the most evil villain in Dragonball/Z was?

I'd say either Freeza or Babidi. Or maybe Hoi... although Hoi and Babidi kind of lack in the awesome department, they seem to be the kind of villains that just like to destroy things needlessly and do whatever they want. Somehow it doesn't seem like Cell fits... he seems more like a jerk with too much power than a truly evil guy, but... Maybe. Freeza... he conquered and destroyed and enslaved, and sometimes if he wanted to kill you, he'd be a real jerk about it... so egh.

Freeza. He was just such a..villian. I don't know how to word it, he was just such a bad person. Did what he wanted and didn't care about how that would effect others. I dunno, great villian but I hated how he was killed even if it was to hype up the next big thing...

I'd have to say Freeza as well, probably because he's the first villian I encountered back when I was a wee lad watching DBZ on Cartoon Network, and he's still as big a badass now as he was then.

I think we have had around 4 topics on this now. I would say Frieza, only because he did it and loved it. It seems everyone else had their own reasoning on why they did it. Freeza just liked killing people/eating babies.

Of course Piccolo Daimao is a strong contender...

I always thought that's what Buu was like, not Freeza.

But Buu was created to kill, it was Frieza's choice to do it.

I agree that (pure) Buu was created to kill and really didn't have a mind... whereas Freeza did it all by choice.
My first thought was Piccolo Daimao, but he did show concern for his minions when they were killed, so I took him off of my list.

I say Freeza, he was just evil in every aspect of the word and clearly proved it in the series. He showed no mercy or respect for his opponents like Cell actually did (Cell honored Piccolo's request of telling him who he was, gave the Z warriors that 10 days of peace/training, and allowed Goku to walk after he gave up their fight) and he was basically 100% evil, which Buu just quite wasn't capable of being (up till becoming his "pure" kid form), considering he was still hesitating to kill Hercule on several occasions (as well as Videl to an extent). Freeza had no mercy or compassion for anyone, but had the intelligence to know that a cold empire under his rule would make him the most feared tyrant in the universe. He obliterated any race that stood in his way and if the race was lucky, left only a few members left of its species (the Saiyans, Kwee's race in the anime I think). The genocide on Namek really gave an errie sense like "This guy's on evil par to Hitler!", because that's how cruel he was being in torturing and killing the innocent harmless Namekians (hell, he personally killed Kargo in the manga). Even in the final battle with Super Saiyan Goku, he pretty much let whatever pride he had flow into the drain of Namek's dying core and begged to be spared, only to betray Goku like a pathetic little rat.

Those are my reasons, I pick "the most terrible tyrant the universe has ever known". Playing Sparking! NEO/BT2, using Goku's final attack on him, I really just wanna yell "You FOOL!!" rather than "Darn you...!".

I say Frieza for DBZ as well. I agree with I think it was Mr. Werner's old site that said so due to Cell and Buu being created to be evil.

Freeza; the only other that comes close is Babidi. What makes Freeza such a great villain is the indifference he shows while killing or making threats, which I personally think is much more frightening and realistic than Buu laughing like a maniac. He only really shows delight while torturing Piccolo after he transforms. Even as he beats and tortures Vegeta to death, the only sign of enjoyment he shows is a little smirk. In a sense, I would say killing almost bores him; he's done it so many times. His motives are far more believable too; paranoia and racism, both traits that many tyrants have or had in common, thus increasing his realism even more.

Also, however, he is the most sympathetic villain in my personal opinion. I mean, by the time he is defeated by Goku, he is just pathetic; a one armed torso with nothing left except pure hatred towards the man that defeated and humiliated him.

I would have to say Freezer (for all the reasons you have already stated), but I think that Piccolo Daimao would even be more of villain...I mean, he would go and destroy a place at a time, year after year just to let you know that your time on Earth was short...and he would let bad people live just for chaos to be unleashed!

Freezer like I said was also one bad ass SOB! But since Piccolo was the first "pure evil" ever to appear in DB universe, my vote goes to him.

My two choices are pretty much tied

My first choice is (Pure)Kid Boo. Kid Boo killed and tortured and murder without even thinking about it. He showed no remorse. He was ruthless. He wasn't even on earth for 20 seconds before he decided to blow it up. He was a mean one, too. Dancing and Sleeping during the fight, he was literally adding insult to injury. He was completely crazy and evil at the same time.

Frieza is my second choice basically for all of the reasons listed above. He was so evil, but sophisticated about it at the same time. He was the sane kind of evil, whereas Boo was the insane type.

Are we just doing canon villians? Because I think Brolli is pretty evil, too. He was a mix of both sane and insane....until movie 11.

Well, everyone beat me to it, but my choice is Freeza, for pretty much the apparently unanimous reason that he was evil, knew he was evil, and reveled in it. On top of that, he was a sore loser.

Agreed. Movie 8 Broly was twisted and sadistic.

Without a doubt, Freeza. He wasn't just a tool, creation, or magical evil that showed up. He was around for decades and enslaved/wiped out whole PLANETS! He wouldn't just fade away after being beaten either, he was going to destroy Earth as soon as he got the chance. Greatest villain ever.
