So, quick question that may already have been answered - I've been watching a bit of TFS's stream of the closed beta for the game. In the opening of the game, Puddin (their female Majin character) is basically listening in to Boo reading the book that would inspire him to make his wife and thus start the Majin race via DBO's lore. While I absolutely love seeing that come up again, especially to actually see it played out...that's an incredibly random point in time for the game to open with. At least, it is with any non-Majin characters. With the Majins it makes sense, cuz it's the start of their race. But if you make a Saiyan or Namek or any of the other race options in this game...that's just a really random place to start the game.

So is that opening scene specific to the race you pick? If so, have we seen what the other race's get for their opening bits?

Yep. [spoiler]Majins get the scene watching Buu, Namekians get a scene watching Guru sensing terrible danger and one pure of heart, Earthlings watch Gohan and Videl practising their poses for the Great Saiyaman gig, Saiyans get Bulma making new armor for Vegeta and Frieza Race get Ginyu training a few soldiers on the ship.[/spoiler]

And on the anounced live streams, maybe I'm forgetting somthing, but isn't this the first stream they've advertised as actually having new info?

I think you might be right. I don't remember one mentioning new info in a while. I'm curious mainly because what else could they show that we really don't know about unless it's some sort of reveal of the true villain of this game?

I doubt that. I don't remember Xenoverse getting a trailer showing off pre-order/DLC characters. But who knows? Almost everything has its first time, right.

Also I'd hope they'd be playable, unlike Demigra. I bugs me that Demigra isn't playable in this game, like even if he's not part of the story it'd be nice to play as the main villain of the first game.

I doubt that. I don't remember Xenoverse getting a trailer showing off pre-order/DLC characters. But who knows? Almost everything has its first time, right.

We saw SSJ4 vegeta (Western preorder) and Jaco (Japanese preorder) before release and neither of those were a big deal like having Black playable.

In regards to Demigra he could be added as DLC potentially later on. I mean I wouldn't want to know who it is either but it could be a mere cutscene with the voice of the true final villain or at least something with Goku Black coming in for a quick on screen attack but I doubt that. Heck it could even be something that they consider new info but to us isn't really new.

[spoiler]Considering it was revealed that the bird craps out new histories (Do they mean timelnes, or universes?), maybe the final boss will be an insanely powerful villain produced by the egg because Towa has been corrupting it.[/spoiler] I just hope it isn't Demigra back from the grave.

I think Demigra wasn't playable due to his move set specifically being made to be a boss, but still I would of appreciated both him and Chorona being playable characters.

Black looks great, glad they got the Kamehameha color right, unlike Heroes.
I don't see a Potara, it's probably just clipping into his shoulder though.

I'm sure he has the potara on because he even has the time ring on but hot damn right on que with my comments of seeing him come in and do an attack I predicted the future.

I wonder if they'll reveal Mech Frieza as a character, with Meta Cooler in there it seems like a very strange that they wouldn't place him with Mecha Frieza (Plus, not enough games actually touch upon Turnks kicking Frieza's ass).

Oh, and is that the ruined city stage? Becuase it looks like they just made the sky a bt greener...

Hopefully we see Future Trunks (DBS) soon, a Black vs Future Trunks battle for the stream would be great.

At this point I can't see why not since it was known for as long as we knew about Black that DBS Trunks was in the game too. Even if it is just a 30 second clip that will be enough to hold me off until the 25th.

Looks like the Kanzenshuu podcast on the XV2 closed beta validated the concerns of those looking at the game as an expansion instead of a true sequel. No review good or bad is going to deter me from buying and enjoying the game, but I have to admit that some of their choices and direction for the game seem a little questionable.

It's been a while since I touched XV1, but didn't we have to beat the story mode before we could make additional characters?

Do we know if that will be the case again? Or will we be able to make a couple characters before we beat the story mode.
