GT Trunks (and GT as whole) in Xenoverse was treated as another timeline.

Based on what I see from the story in the Beta, Turles and Slug are treated [spoiler]as villains that fought Goku in another timeline/history.[/spoiler]

I think Super Trunks should be treated as a past-self of Xeno Trunks.
But maybe he isn't in story mode.

Come to think of it, I wonder how the game will treat the Super version of Trunks. When we saw Future Trunks in the Cell arc or in his own timeline in Xenoverse, it was presented as being a Trunks from before he got to be the one that brought us into the Time Patrol. GT Trunks was likewise treated as an older version of his alternate self we have in the Boo arc. But Super's Trunks is very much Future Trunks...so will he be Trunks still from before he joined up with the Supreme Kai of Time to become a Time Patroller, or will it be supposedly from further in his timeline? Or maybe just chalked up to being alternate same as GT Trunks?

My best guess is that either in a Future Trunks arc DLC or in Xenoverse 3 they will explain that Time Patrol Trunks is and isn't the same Trunks from Z. They say that he came from a time shard that broke off of the real timeline and that DBS Trunks is the "True" Future Trunks and this will come as a shock to Time Patrol Trunks.

Now that's a pretty good question! I'm very curious on how they are going to handle the "new" Future Trunks from Super, since, well, supposedlu he is the same one from Xenoverse 1 xD

Good thinking! I'm a little said it didn't even occur to me that they could be treated as 'similar' (as in more so the same person than they are in relation to GT Trunks) but still ultimately different people due to differences in the timeline. This is why time travel is so freakin' confusing.

Hmm...maybe in Xeno Trunks' timeline, he was approached shortly after returning home to stay by the Supreme Kai of Time and she got him to make the Time Patrol and all that, thus creating THAT timeline (that basically ends up being him in a place outside of time and watching over time itself), whereas in the Super versions' timeline, she never approached him at all for some reason or another. Xenoverse's story idea does say that the universe can easily handle at least a few new timelines, it's just that the bad guys were causing way too many of them, hence why she also reprimanded Trunks to prevent him from unintentionally causing the same.

There are a couple of ways I can think of for them to handle it, but I don't see much point in speculating since we don't even know for certain if they will handle it. We were told a while back during one of the interviews to just wait and look forward to what they do with DBSuper Future Trunks, but that doesn't mean he'll be related to the story or anything. So he may just be included with no need of an explanation.

That said, I don't really want to bring it up again, but all the Trunks versions in the game have purple hair. Curious if Dimps will stick with consistency of Trunks continuity for the Super incarnation, or if they'll just say the hell with it and use the blue hair because that's what he's now shown with.

Actually, Super provides the perfect excuse fo this. Xeno Trunks is from the alternate timeline where Black never showed up (Black's appearance causing a split), just like Super Trunks causes a split it the main timeline when he comes to get hte Z fighter's help.

Super Trunks in Heroes has Blue hair.

No, actually. Most of the Trunks incarnations in Heroes have different hair colors. The Super version is blue, like the anime. The initial Future Trunks and Kid Trunks are the same shade of purple, but GT Trunks is darker and Xeno Trunks even darker.

Edit.: No, there is NO Ki drain. Giant Nameks, Kaio-ken (and I think Pure Majins) have stamina drain but that's it.

But that did make me realize that if/when they do a Future Trunks arc DLC they could add Dabura in it.

Didnt we have confirmation that Dabra isnt going to be in this? DLC or otherwise? I mean you have fan feedback/demand but I honestly dont see him making whats already a very long list.

Huh, I could have sworn I'd poked my head into the Heroes thread a while back and seen something about the hair color discrepancy. Either I'm remembering wrong, or it was a fan re-coloring (maybe even the one in your avatar, TheDevilsCorpse?), or something.

There was a promotional image that was colored wrong for the current card set announcement, but everything since (and in-game) has been blue.

Unrelated, my avatar is from a completely different promotional image that copied Toriyama's artwork (but with purple hair, obviously) and was posted by Famitsu for coverage on the arc's announcement if I remember correctly?
