Freeza is a recurring and yet amazingly shallow character. I want him to have more writing.Jedi Knifed wrote:Cetra wrote:Make a Freeza prequel. With Cooler, Cold and all that is good. I would rather see a story about his son Kuriza so long as it's well written and there aren't any bullshit power ups that put Kuriza on SSJ god level.

People think that just because Toriyama won't be heavily involved in this new department, he won't be involved at all. Some of these people have absolutely no sense of gradience, they don't realize that he can be loosely involved (the same way he is now, actually).

This goes even farther than I thought anyone could, it sure did give me a headache. Also, I guess it gets the gradience point across. I'll save the rest of my complaining for when these ideas go viral.Lujin_16 wrote:Jinzoningen MULE wrote:People think that just because Toriyama won't be heavily involved in this new department, he won't be involved at all. Toriyama was going to end DB if Goku couldn't grow up so if he did after he won the 23rd Tenkaichi, we would've missed out on so much great content.ABED wrote: It felt like the right time because the characters had become so powerful and they mythology had gone in a particular direction that felt as though it was coming to an end both in terms of scale and for the characters.

The video was removed. What kind of horror was it?Lujin_16 wrote:Jinzoningen MULE wrote:People think that just because Toriyama won't be heavily involved in this new department, he won't be involved at all. I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

Actually it was no horror. It was just a speculative video about DB getting like Star Wars, Toriyama-san having the final word even though he is not gonna write it and that we can potentially get so much new stuff like about King Vegeta, et cetera. Overall it was not really a "bad video" but premature and just over-interpreted the news.

It exaggerated the news, said that we were getting a new show, supervised by Toriyama. Went on to speculate about the "infinite possibilities".MozillaVulpix wrote:The video was removed. What kind of horror was it?

While true, it's only a shame since it did in fact exist. If it didn't, we wouldn't have anything to miss. 16 manga volumes and 153 episodes is a lot, so I wouldn't have felt short shrifted.sintzu wrote:Toriyama was going to end DB if Goku couldn't grow up so if he did after he won the 23rd Tenkaichi, we would've missed out on so much great content.ABED wrote: It felt like the right time because the characters had become so powerful and they mythology had gone in a particular direction that felt as though it was coming to an end both in terms of scale and for the characters.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Hopefully this won't be what we get from this "room".ekrolo2 wrote:20 pieces of crap all running simultaneously out of which you need to wait for the planets to align and sacrifice a virgin at an altar to Darkseid in hopes of one of them being decent.
We would if Toriyama said he had to stop because they wouldn't let him grow Goku up.ABED wrote:While true, it's only a shame since it did in fact exist. If it didn't, we wouldn't have anything to miss.

While we're at it, It would be cool to see how Ginyu got the body we saw in Z.Cetra wrote:Make a Freeza prequel. With Cooler, Cold and all that is good. And show me when Freeza got bitchslapped by Beerus for being a cocky little shrimp.

I agree with this. The new content I feel will just spoil this if it gets outrageous.ABED wrote: It felt like the right time because the characters had become so powerful and they mythology had gone in a particular direction that felt as though it was coming to an end both in terms of scale and for the characters.
Togashi also said he ended it because then he would just be writing it for the sake of money. I have the link to his interview somewhere, let me see if I can find it.sintzu wrote:We don't really know if it was the right time cause we didn't get to see what the author was planning because some suits didn't like it.ABED wrote:Interesting story about YYH that I've never heard. So they're basically doing what Disney has been doing with Marvel and Star Wars? Interesting, I wonder if we'll possibly see any live action movies being made from this room, this holds a lot of potential for the franchise.

It will make sense kind of from a production standpoint, but Super will only end if Toriyama leaves. If he continues to provide outlines they will keep dragging it which I hope doesn't happen.Lujin_16 wrote:Why some here thinking a new Dragonball series will replace Dragonball Super ???? It's easier to build a new series up from scratch to maximize its marketability, rather than try to retool a series that already had an image.
