Firstly I'd like to say welcome to Daizenshuu EX. (I'm gonna feel stupid if you've already been welcomed, but you've got no introduction pa-anyway)
I think that Sparking! NEO is a game to get if your a hardcore fan, the gameplay its just 100% Dragonball Z emulation. If your a casual fan, I suppose its worth a look too, but maybe give it a rent, and see what you think.

Well I'll probably come into a couple of dollars sometime this weekend (3 cheers for spring break) so I might buy it if I can find a used copy.

Although one thing still bothers me; are there any major differences in all the different versiosn?

Well, the European version has 6 new characters and Planet Vegeta as an extra stage, but for the American release, the only real difference is the controls.
If I had to pick between the two control schemes, I would pick the Wii version, because, its just plain fun.

And it'll work wonders for your manual dexterity. XD After a few hours with the game I find that many manouvres & combos give a "pat your head, rub your tummy" feel. Although that'll probably improve over time. XD Heaps of fun though.

1: Random Freeza Henchman
2: Appule
3: Cyborg Tao
4: Piccolo Daimao
5: Pilaf's Mecha

There's another character?

Using the grand old tradition started by the first Sparking, Pilaf robot's transformation/clicked together state counts as the sixth character.

They should have used a different version of gohan for the trunks saga......its really funny when gohan uses his attack with goten despite goten not existing... :)

Sure he exists, right before Goku died, Chi-Chi extracted sperm from him wether he liked it or not. o: After that she had Goten and hid him up the attic, only coming out to go to school. She was not going to have TWO fighter sons in the family, oh no. Or so she thought.

Well then...for a kid stuck in an attic all his life that kid had a hell of an attack. :)

I had no problems with Sparking! Neo but I had some problems with the english version. Mainly, the lack of Japanese BGM. That really infuriated me that Atari wouldn't give that to us PS2 owners who can't import.
