Weird thing in BT2...

Weird thing in BT2...

I was playing BT2 the other day and put a COM vs COM free match on of

Chiaotzu, Kid Gohan, Goten, Kid Goku, and Kid Trunks vs Giant Lord Slug and Great Ape Vegeta...

The whole fight was normal for the most part, Chiaotzu and Gohan lost to Lord Slug, but when Goten faught he beat Slug and then fused with Trunks against Vegeta. And right as Gotenks went Super Saiyan 3 he was killed by Vegeta.

At that moment, instead of Kid Goku comming down out of the sky it was Adult Goku(completly maxed out, even with all the powered-up icoms below his Ki bar), but right as he landed and said his little intro quote like all the characters do, he immediately fell on the ground dead (for no reason), and THEN Kid Goku flies down to ultimately be beaten by Great Ape Vegeta.

Now, I'm just currious... How the hell did Adult Goku get in there, why was he maxed out, and why did he freaking die immediately when his match started?

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm assuming it's a glitch, what do you guys think?

Cuz anybody who's seen GT knows that Kid Goku > Maxed-out, full power adult Goku.

I dunno. Looks like a weird glitch to me.

That sure is one hell of a weird glitch. Never heard of anything like it in my life... :shock:

Something like that has happened to me several times. It seems to have something to do with having the character you're going to fuse with be the one that's currently selected(the one you'd switch to next) and then fusing with them sometimes leaves that "Next character in line" space empty, then trying to switch with it like that or dieing without switching which character is next would cause Goku to fly down and the game would freeze. I've yet to see him show up then just die, normaly he'll get there and the game just freezes on me(so I always make sure to not have my fusion partner next in line when playing around with fusion).

Sypheran, was this the Wii release or Ps2 version? And was it the North American or PAL release?

Wow, sounds very weird but I think Metrite's explanation is the best. (Althought I never had it before. So I think it only happens in Com vs Com.)

Well, in my case the "Next Character" wasn't the counterpart to the fusion, the character after the "Next Character" was. I had Kid Goku inbetween Goten and Trunks... You think THAT may be why the game didn't freeze and instead Goku just died and it went to Kid Goku? Or maybe he just died and the game didn't freeze cause he wasn't being controlled by the player but instead the Computer (cause this happened in COM vs COM)

Oh, and for the other's, it's for PS2 and the American version.

Well, I've noticed that sometimes it'll change the order of the 'next character up' for no obvious reason. You may have had a gap between them with Kid Goku when you picked them but that don't mean it was there in battle.
