Why was Champa awake?
Why wasn't he sleeping like his brother? Could it be a rotational thing, or does he simply sleep less? What do you think?

Re: Why was Champa awake?
Did we ever find out the original reason Champa was looking for the Super Dragon balls in the first place? Or did he really just want to use them to pick a fight with his brother the whole time?
Because if not he probably had a wish he was really wanted granted.

No, but I imagine it had something to do with food. They totally made it seem ominous, though, with him sneaking around and destroying planets.Boo Machine wrote:Did we ever find out the original reason Champa was looking for the Super Dragon balls in the first place? He did remark that it was weird Beerus wasn't sleeping like always, implying he doesn't sleep as long as him. If it wasn't that way Beerus should have said something about it I guess...Anime Kitten wrote:Why wasn't he sleeping like his brother? Could it be a rotational thing, or does he simply sleep less? Also, in the manga theres a dialog between Kibito and Zamasu where Kibito tells Zamasu they took part in defeating Buu because their god of destruction is always sleeping, so that also tell us not every god of destruction is a big sleeper like Beerus (and that may also include Shampa).
Sleeping until the tournament is over.

Re: Why was Champa awake?
Now that you mention it Champa hunting the Super Dragon Balls really did lead to a whole lot of nothing.
It's true he was sneaking around and being all omnibus about it. In the manga he showed up in front of the Supreme and Elder Kai asking them what they heard.
It seemed like he had some sinister plan going on behind the scenes. He and Vados were wiping out planets and probably billions of lives trying to find them.
Then for some reason he offers them as a prize over some pretty food challenge. Couldn't have been that important to him could they? He seemed more pissed about just losing rather than him not getting whatever wish he apparently wanted.
Very bizarre.

His wish was probably food-related, for the sake of competition with Beerus; the two gods of destruction don't seem to care about much else.Bullza wrote:Now that you mention it Champa hunting the Super Dragon Balls really did lead to a whole lot of nothing.

That and, like Beerus and Whis, Champa and Vados are probably hyper-bored and would be prone to trying to collect the Dragon Balls upon learning of them just because it's something amusing to do.

This is the kind of stuff that I think will be revealed in one of Toriyama's interviews in the future. But I've always assumed that he just wanted to become thin, since he doesn't want to go through all those diets.Boo Machine wrote:Did we ever find out the original reason Champa was looking for the Super Dragon balls in the first place?
