It's not bad, but I wouldn't call it incredible. It's basically just Vegetto's head on Vegeta: Xeno's body. The only real difference is the split Gotenks hair and and Trunks: Xeno's coat "skirt".

It probably seems like I'm trying to give the design some flack. I'm not, really. I vastly prefer this approach rather than the abominations seen in Fusions. It just didn't really require a lot of work for me to praise it either.

Well, the Fusion is better than the Fusions one for sure. But I think his face has too much Vegeta and not enough Trunks. I like Demon God Towa as well, though I'm personally going to treat that part of her hair as actual horns.

Also, have we gotten any other word on that alternate Xeno Trunks, or is it still unexplained (unless I missed something)?

Does there really need to be an explanation? I think it's simple enough to just assume enough time has passed that Trunks' hair grew out to be long again.

Sure, whatever you say. Just seems odd that it would suddenly grow out only now, especially when you consider the two-year gap between the Xenoverse games where he's obviously kept it cut. But this is just fiction, I suppose.
