Little scene from DB Revival, Arale tries to take on Nappa:

"Oh, so you're sending a little girl out?" mocked Nappa.
"Don't underestimate her," retorted Piccolo, smirking. 'Arale might be our only chance to stall them until Goku gets here...'
"Let's check the power level," said Vegeta, scanning the android with his scouter. "W-what?!" He was clearly shocked. "Nappa, don't underestimate her. The little one's got a power level of 3,500!"
"You serious? So this one's the strongest the Earth has to offer..." grinned Nappa. "STILL NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO BEAT-"
Nappa was cut off mid-sentence by a punch by Arale. In an instant, Nappa was slammed against the wall.
"It...just shot up to 12,000 and then returned to normal...that can't be right..." muttered Vegeta, who was in a state of shock. "Nappa, when she threw that punch, her power level went up to 12,000! I'll handle her later. Take care of the others first."
Nappa grinned.

Basically, this scene fits between Krillin killing the Saibamen and Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillin, Piccolo, and Gohan vs. Nappa.

Personally, I think you could take a little more advantage of the madness that is Arale. If you never read Dr Slump, you should write Arale scenes with Looney Tunes or Tom & Jerry in mind. And everyone she interacts with, including villains, would be pulled into the madness.

You're missing a chance for the obvious: The scouter reading "It's over 9000" for that second.

Here's something from the latest episode of mine:

Pan: "Wait a minute... I thought the Ki of gods couldn't be sensed? Doesn't that make this person a god?"
Dawn: "No, not quite. Artifical beings don't have any Ki, but we can sense their presence. Gods do have Ki, but us non-gods can't sense it or them. It might seem confusing, but there's a marginal difference."

That's how I address it personally.

Another scene - Goku arrives to fight the Saiyans:

Piccolo waited for his death.
But it never came.
Son Goku had just saved his life. The blast had apparently been deflected by Goku, who'd arrived in the nick of time.
"Bardock...?" questioned Vegeta. "No...you must be Kakarrot."
Goku nodded. He looked around.
Yamcha's body was lying in a crater.
Tien Shinhan, one arm missing, lay dead on the ground.
Chiaotzu was nowhere to be seen.
He turned to face Piccolo. "Where's Chiaotzu?"
"He...tried to kill the big one, Nappa, by blowing himself up," sighed Piccolo.
"It failed," interjected Nappa.
Goku continued looking around.
Krillin and Arale were barely conscious. Gohan was standing behind Piccolo, looking like a deer caught in headlights.
Goku retrieved two senzu from his bag. He snapped one in half and gave a half each to Gohan and Piccolo.
He walked over to Krillin, and helped him swallow half of the second bean. He did the same for Arale.
"Dad...you're here," Gohan finally said, sighing in relief.
His father turned to face Nappa and Vegeta.
"How many people have you killed?!" shouted Goku.
"Since Raditz died?" questioned Vegeta.
Goku nodded.
"Well, there was Arlia...Funny thing is...we freed them from tyranny, so they thought of us as heroes. Then we killed 'em," smirked Nappa.
"I'm going to break you," growled Goku.
"Are you now?" replied Vegeta, raising an eyebrow as he laughed.
"LIKE A KITKAT BAR!" yelled the Earth-raised Saiyan.

I wouldn't go for TFS jokes if this is a serious retelling of the series. Especially if Goku isn't unintelligent like TFS characterizes him.

I don't have very much to add to this particular conversation, but please, if you're going to use jokes from other works in your own work, be extremely careful. People will know that you're borrowing from TFS if you use a TFS joke, and they might judge your entire work as worse than they would if the joke wasn't there, because your work will feel less original and new. Using more abstract ideas (such as Frieza being annoyed by heroic speeches) is safer.

On an unrelated note, I managed to finish another chapter today! The introduction of Lady Konia, Goddess of Destruction of Universe 8! (no spoilerino though!)

Well, at this point I only have Beerus and Champa, who you already know, and Konia and her sister Tekira. There are eight more Gods and Goddesses of Destruction out there. I'll probably go with a 50/50 gender distribution, but the eight remaining ones are completely undecided right now.

I've been toying with the idea of Android 15 not being...programmed properly. His target's name has a typo - he's after "Son Gok". Basically, the supercomputer messed up with him...so he's very confused why 13 and 14 are killing Goku. His programming is so messed up, it's to the point it will ONLY let him kill "Son Gok".

Any comments on this idea?
