Back in 2011, there was a group here trying to make a recut of the Bardock special with other flashbacks (Broly's survival, King Vegeta's rebellion, etc.) added in, but it just...fizzled out.
What happened?

Re: Whatever happened to the "Director's Cut" Bardock Special?
I shopped it around to a couple conventions and never heard back. Then my previous computer literally exploded and not everything perfectly reimported with new AVIsynth plugins when I built a new one so I kept putting it off and only poked at it every so often.
It's still sitting there in a giant folder on my computer. It's more or less done. Sorta. The stuff I dread doing is: Premiere at that time didn't natively support 23.976 fps, so the AMV crowd had a workaround of editing in 24 fps and adjusting the speed of the audio and then correcting after a final edited export. So... everything's still tuned for 24 fps. Uuuuuugh.
It was never anything I was going to publicly distribute anyway, so it really didn't matter whether or not I finished it for anyone but myself.
Here's the podcast episode where I discuss it, and here's the original discussion thread (please don't post in it or bump it).
(This post prompted me to watch some of the edits clips I made... holy shit, this was really good... I should finish this...)
