So just going by the episode titles on Crunchyroll, the official translations are going with "Supreme Kai" for "Kaioshin" and "mortal(s)" for "ningen".

I guess it is to be expected that they would use the terminology of the local english dub.
Oh well.

They did the same for Digimon Adventure Tri with dub terminology.

That's a pretty good sub. Mortals is pretty fitting. I don't mind "Supreme Kai" not gonna be a weaboo about it.

Too many dub terms. Color me a bit disappointed. At least they're not calling Zamasu a "guardian." Other than the dub terms, the subs are good I guess.

Anyone having any luck on getting the newest episode to work on the PS4 yet? I keep on getting a network error.

So I just noticed that Crunchyroll shamelessly uses the english version as subtitles for Chozetsu Dynamic, lyric for lyric. As far as the actual translation goes, it seems okay when comparing it to DragonTeam's acclaimed translation. No awkward wording or anything. The dub names and terminoly might be a bit off-putting. We also got "Zen-Oh" as the the first official romanization for the Omni-King in licensed material.

Also, I dunno about you guys, but so far, the only episode I've been able to watch is episode 47. I get network errors with the rest and I can't sign up for a Premium Membership, whether through trial or payment.

Well, I just wanted some of episode 57, and while I appreciate Goku's hick accent in the subs, the subtitles didn't flow very well and there seemed to be some weird wording choices... It's definitely a step down from the best fansubs, but one up from the worst, I feel, without having compared scripts in detail.

To be fair FUNi's spelling of Freeza has shown up in some Japanese products before. As has calling the Artificial Humans, Androids.

In fact, just a few months ago, the Japanese Freeza Figurise Standard model kit uses the "Frieza" spelling.

I guess since Bandai loves "Gokou", they find "Frieza" to be in the same vein.
