Black and Zamasu Fusion

Just a thought, but is it possible he isn't actually in a super saiyan form, and his hair being vertical is just the kai hair mixing with Goku's, and he can still go SSJR, kinda like Vegito.

Yep, I think the hair stands up mainly from the influence of Zamasu's Mohawk, and that the new fusion is not in Super Saiyan when it first appears. After all, Vegetto's hair also spikes upward when in his base form due to Vegeta's influence. Though since Black will be transformed into Rosé when they merge, that could affect the appearance as well. But I do think fans are jumping the gun with the "OMG Super Saiyan White FINALLY" proclamations, since this could just be his base form; for all we know, he could still turn Rosé when he transforms! (not sure how good the green skin-pink hair combo would look, though )

Someone in the episode 63 thread is calling the fusion of Zamasu and Goku Black as, "Zack."

Haha, such a plain name that is meant to be a disguise of the true power that "plain ol' Zack" possesses. I can't wait until the devastating "Zack Attack".

Given the latest episode of Super revealing in the NEP that Black and Zamasu fusing, there are quite a few questions that need to asked:
- What do we name the fused character?
- It is possible for the newly fused character to attain another form?
- Do we still refer to the current powered up form the fused character has as Super Saiyan Rose?
- Just how strong is this newly fused character?
- Is this character immortal given it fused with Zamasu? Or the immortality that Zamasu gained cancelled out?
- Last but not least... are Vegeta and Goku going to fuse as a response to this?

2. I would name it Super Saiyan Rose (not Rosé), while the hair might be white, there´re white roses.
3. As strong as the plot demands it to be.
4. I would say he is still inmortal.
5. No, they wont. Vegeta will likely refuse.

He's actually called Merged Zamasu in the current video games.

That's more in line with the episode title 「崇めよ！讃えよ！合体ザマス爆誕！！」 ... The 合体/がったい/gattai in 合体ザマス means union; coalescence; amalgamation; combination; alliance; annexation; incorporation. "Merged Zamasu" sounds better, given that definition. I was a little confused that Crunchyroll translated 合体ザマス as "Fused Zamasu."

Slight plothole, but not really. they fused whilst Black was powered up, which is determent to their lifespan and energy consumption, but I guess it doesn't matter since they are immortal?

It's also possible he can't transform and that his "base" power is already drawing on Black's full power when transformed.

Since he's no longer in a purely Saiyan body, and since Black was transformed when they fused, I'd say it's as likely as anything, and probably a little easier from a design standpoint.

Yes, but that's the thing. Such comments make me wonder if they are conscious meanwhile. If they are not, then of course they cannot control him as they would not even be there at that time.

I know I am nitpicky.

I think fusees would be "conscious" during the fusion, and seem to retain all the memories from that period, but the thought processes they have as a single consciousness are so radically different from their normal selves, they can't fully identify with them afterward.

Like the biggest case of "What was I thinking?" ever.

I have a good feeling that at some point the 2 of them will fuse and become the Big bad for this Arc. Seeing as how we now know that the green time rings go to the alternate timelines, Zamasu will probably use the one that leads him to Trunks's future. Gowasu mentioning that opposite ears will fuse you was not some throwaway line, it's most likely foreshadowing to the Zamasu/Black fusion.

Love it when it plays out the way you expected. well not the Zamasu bit, but I KNEW they were gonna fuse eventually
