Why did they ditch the RoF outfits?

I'd honestly be shocked if it was just a coincidence. It HAD to be intentional.Soppa Saia People wrote:The fact that he loses a part of his armor almost every saga, seems on purpose then Toriyama just randomly doing it.Luso Saiyan wrote:No, it wasn't. I wouldn't be surprised if the first few were incidental, but the last two had to be on purpose.TekTheNinja wrote:I'd honestly be shocked if it was just a coincidence. Toriyama was responsible for the designs in Battle of Gods and Resurrection F. Both take place after the Boo arc and Vegeta is displaying his armor. He didn't wear it in the Boo arc because he was originally intending to participate in the Tenkaichi Budoukai. Toriyama also draws him with armor in both casual sketches and a few of his other stories. It's a conscious decision by him. I understand it's a popular theory, but it's not supported by Toriyama's habits with the character.

I said incidental, not random. He doesn't lose part of his armor. He loses his armor, then gets an old model (because it was the only one available), then loses it again which forces him to wear human clothes. Then gets a new one from Bulma, and keeps it. He only doesn't wear it in a few understandable ocasions (tournament rules, vacation, peace time).Soppa Saia People wrote:The fact that he loses a part of his armor almost every saga, seems on purpose then Toriyama just randomly doing it.
If there was any hint of him getting soft on humans, it was when he was forced to wear human clothes for the first time after Namek. That's it.
