I really doubt it, but it almost feels like there have been hints to this arc very early on in Super. For the life of me, I never figured out why they bothered defusing Kaioshin and Kibito, but that actually paid off in this arc. Kaioshin has been really important, and they know about Potara fusion being reversible.
Normally, it would be a fair assumption. However, the Future Trunks arc was written well after that interview was conducted. It's likely to be a reference to Freeza all along. I'll also add "white hair" wasn't stated.

My question’s so trivial I’m kind of ashamed, but… why does Super Saiyan Blue have blue hair? Toriyama:
In Battle of Gods it was red, so I figured for Revival of “F” I should go with blue. That’s all (laughs). Well, actually I was thinking about having it be white, but then it would color-clash with the “next enemy”… so I figured I should save it for another occasion (laughs).

I agree. Also, this:
Could you talk just a bit about where the plot is going to go in future? Toyotarō: I’ve read the plot for the new story, and I’m really happy a certain future-related character is going to be involved. I’m a huge fan!
Toriyama: That’s a pretty popular character! Hopefully the kids will be happy.
Pretty sure is Trunks. He had already written Black Goku arc.
The only thing I will say about Gohan is that he doesn't have to be the strongest if he's ssb. Make the fact that he has a job and family hinder his growth to be on par with goku and vegeta. I wouldn't mind if he was weaker even. I want him to learn some strategy more than gaining tons of power!
I feel like I'm one of the only people here that doesn't really like slice of life. If it's a slice of life arc I could be interested, but random episodes that have no significant developments isn't that interesting.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Well stop feeling alone here my friend..
Slice of life episodes which have no significance at all other than just "filling" out my 23 mins..
I never complain though, coz I figure they are making episode quality of the next arc better!
I agree 100% with whatever you said about gohan.. Thinking along those lines myself for sometime.. You just summed up well

Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
Yeah, we need Gogeta this time around. Vegeto had his chance, his screentime... Gogeta too but it is controversial and not in a canon material. If Gogeta fails, then Vegeto might be a cool idea.

Thats the problem it has always been about raw power with him and has never shown any specific skill or strategy.
Once Super is finished( if it ever does) you will like the inbetween arc episodes better. Most people don't like it when the shows is running since they want to get to new big stuff.

In joy or in rage?
Rage for both since we are only getting fusion because the Mafuba jar somehow had to be broken.

It's fair the way I see it. Vegetto had one appearance (Majin Saga), and Gogeta had two (DBZ Movie 12 and GT). Now Vegetto should get another one and we'll have Vegetto the Canon Fusion and Gogeta the Non-Canon Fusion.

The jar is crucial to saving the future, remember? We're not getting only Fusion.

Yeah I know, what i mean is Toei/Toriyama broke the jar on purpose so they could include fusion instead of doing just the Mafuba. It just feels they forced it in right now.

Well, ft never showed any special strategy until Super so I hope Gohan can too if he's ever made relevant.
Also I wonder if vegetto is going to do the Mafuba. I'd sure hope so

I was replying to your initial statement about strategy instead of power and with Future Trunks we know how crazy it is.
Vegito will have to if they fuse unless someone comes from nowhere and does it, or example Yajirobe somehow knows it.
