How old is future Trunks right now?

He was 17 when he came back for the first time. Against the androids, three years later, he's 20. Then he spends one day in the ROSAT, 21. Then he goes back to the future, kills the androids, waits 3 years, and kills Cell, he's 24 years old by the last time we saw him in DBZ.

Now with Super, 7 years have passed since the Cell arc and the Boo arc, and the two timelines run parallel to each-other according to the manga, so he'd be at least 31 by the time the Boo arc came along. Since Super is 5 years after the Boo arc, he's supposed to be 36 years old currently. However, the time machine is set to "17 years ago", this would make present Trunks 18 years old. He's 13/14, however. So, what gives? Pretty sure I'm fucking up somewhere, but I'm not seeing where.

Edit: Oh, wait. I was adding the 7-year time period between the Cell arc and Boo arc on top of his age after he killed Cell, but at that time, 3 years had already passed on the main timeline as well. I should add those 7 years on his age after he returns to the future, when he was 21. So, he'd be 28 by the Boo arc, and 33 in Super. Making present Trunks 15 right now. Is this about right?

I think it works after I realized where I fucked up. Trunks would be 33 currently, whilst present Trunks is 15. Well, he doesn't exactly look 15, I guess that's the problem here.

Ah but you see, Future Trunks fighting Freeza in the middle of a desert magically created a butterfly effect on his present day self, turning him into a midget until he's 18! Hey, it's not the stupidest headcanon you've or I have ever heard.

That way he would still be 17 at that point, making him 18 after leaving the RoSaT (and did he spend another year before the Cell games? I don't remember).

Pretty much. Trunks' future is suggested to be in either AGE 796 or 797 right now. Ignoring what his age was at any other given point, you get him being 30-31 since he was born in AGE 766. Tack on the two years for the RoSaT and you have 32-33.

For his younger self, ignore the RoSaT for Future Trunks (and kid Trunks didn't spend a lot of time in there). Subtract 17 years and you get 13-14.

Try comparing Trunks of the recent arc to his father back during Freeza's arrival to Earth when he was in the same age bracket. Notice the stark contrast in youth retention between the two? It's not like Trunks lived a very amiable and stress free upbringing. His years alive have arguably been greatly worse than the incessant combat riddled pirating under the autocratic thumb of Freeza experienced by Vegeta. So why does he still resemble a teenager/young adult? You can probably attribute this phenomenon to the same mechanics which allow Krillin to somehow de-age when he's only four years away from resembling the greying man who is close to fifty at the 28th tournament.
