Would you like Broly or Bardock to return in Super?

Hate it or not, Broly is one of the most marketable characters in the franchise, would you like he to return in the current anime series? Maybe in a outlined arc made by Toriyama, or as a Toei only thing, would you enjoy it?

EDIT: Didn't want to make a new thread so I'm going to use this one again: How about Bardock? Just like Broly he's a pretty popular character and people expected to he interact with Goku in some media, but never happened, would you like he to be reintroduced in Super?

If we're going to go down the road of exploring something related to the Saiyans, we already have Cabba and Universe 6 with planet Sadal literally inviting us to come visit! I'm far more interested in what they could do with that than I would be with Toriyama putting a spin on Koyama's pet.

Hell Zamasu/Goku Black is everything Broly is but with substance and more.

Depends. If it's Toriyama's version/a new version of the character and the only similarities are the name and perhaps the design (in his base/SSJ forms), then sure. If it's the same character as the one in the movies, no.

I do like Broly, but I wouldn't want him in Super or in any canon material honestly. He's just fine as a movie vilain (and he already had enough returns, the last one being disastrous).

The only thing we know about the guy is his tendency to scream 'KAKAROT' and that he hates someone because he cried as a newborn. I think he's had too many appearances as is, to be honest. Maybe have a Saiyan from Universe 6 access the LSSJ form or something but please never bring Broly back.

No, not because I don't like him but because he already had 2 movies (yes 2 not 3) and he's dead, there's no neeed to go through the trouble of bringing him back when there's other stories that can be told with Cabba and the other U6 saiyans.

He's omnipresent in the franchise right now as it is, and he has been for years. I don't think we need more of him.

Hmmm, y'know - I actually wouldn't mind Broly being placed into Super or a future series if:

1. Funimation changes this new version of Broly's name to "Broli" so that his name is more faithful to the pun (BROcoLI) and fans can separate Broly (Z) from Broli (Super).

2. Maybe, this new version of Broli appears in the future of the series. Perhaps, in Cabba's universe retconned as one of Universe 6's best Saiyan fighters who eventually discovers he is a Saiyan prodigy and has the ability to unlock the power of a "Super Saiyan Legend", which puts him on par with power among the gods. Maybe, he gets corrupted by this power and Cabba enlists Goku and Vegeta into helping him and the good Saiyans deal with Broli

As for the Broly we see in the movies, I'm not sure it would ever happen because Movie Broly only fits into the movie canon - not the actual series. This is why I think I'd prefer for them to make a new character named Broli (besides for a Saiyan, Broli could be as common as the name Chris) who is different from the Broly we know. The problem with this retcon would be that you would probably have to get rid of Paragus because if he's included - It would make fans think he's the original version. Universe 6 Broli would not have the same parents as the Universe 7 Broly we know. Like I said, I imagine this Broli would be a COMPLETELY separate character from the regular Broly - but the regular Broly would serve as the basis and inspiration for the new Broli. And perhaps this Broli would become a good character at the end of his arc.

However, I want to make something clear: I'M NOT SAYING BROLI WOULD BE AN ALTERNATE VERSION OF BROLY. I FULLY UNDERSTAND UNIVERSE 6 IS ONLY A COUNTERPART TO UNIVERSE 7, BUT THIS DOES NOT MEAN ALTERNATE VERSIONS OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS EXIST (However, in Frieza's case - he had an U6 equivalent with Frost so perhaps with Broly it'd be similar even though his name would admittedly coincidentally be Broli)

But yeah, to end my thoughts: Broli would be closer to the actual canon VERSUS movie Broly (which is why I'd set them as completely different characters)

I don't think it could call as "return" if happens, because Super follows Kai and the manga, and Broly doesn't exist in that line.

I agree.

The only reason anyone really likes him was that he was very powerful (for his time anyway).

Beyond that? Nothing. He has NO character whatsoever. He was nothing more than a boring one-dimensional psychopath and is, in my opinion, the most overreated character of the franchise.

Broly became kinda boring for me, as others mentioned above, giving us a U6 arc about Planet Salad and Cabba, would do so much better imo

Have him pop up as a cameo for a second, only to get killed in a flash by Goten or someone of that calibre. I would LOVE to see that.

If he's the Universe 6 equivalent that actually has a character, and isn't a mindless villain, then maybe. Really depends on whether Toriyama can actually come up with an arc that his inclusion would make sense.

If they do a GT OVA with him coming back as SSJ4 then sure since it don't effect the main story. In the main story for Super, no thank you. He has three movies and has a lot of new forms in Heroes like Majin LSSj3, Golden Oozaru and SSj4.

Why don't they just do side movies like they did with Z? Then they could bring Broly back. But to shove him into the main series is kind of forced and unnecessary.
