I went to go launch the game and it's decided it's doing an update (adding in the pre-ordered bonuses?).

I normally don't screenshot this stuff, but:



And then it timed out/lost the connection so I don't know what it was trying to update. Other pages say my DLC should be in there so I'm just gonna try to launch the game again.

Egads, there are no create-a-character voices that aren't garbage. I spent more time trying to figure out which voice was least-worst than I have actually playing the game.

I'm a little bit closer. I'm in a loop where it asks "Create save data and start, without carrying over data from previous game? You will no longer be able to carry over save data from the previous game once saved data has been created." but all I can do is loop between that and the instructions on how to transfer.

Anyway, how did some of you completed the tutorial/trial combos? I'm having a bit of a hard time timing attacks. Feels like I'm playing a Capcom fighting game. Yeah...

Totally not helpful. I don't play enough console games anymore to justify buying a system. I'm not even on a gaming laptop. I bought my laptop with nothing heavier than Adobe Photoshop in mind.


Anyone have any actual advice? What's the instructions trying to get me to link?

They screwed up. Loads of people on the Steam forums and elsewhere are complaining they didn't get him. I didn't either. Instead, for some reason, Jaco is unlocked off the bat.

Fair point, I just really hate the whole Console war thing, it just pisses me off. and with shit like Youtube it's hard to distinguish what's joking and what's not.

There is a loss of part of the meaning in text vs listening to someone say the same thing out loud. I couldn't tell it was a joke with only the text.

I'm just gonna wait a little while and see if I find anyone else who ran into the same loop I'm in. I don't want to use up all my possible refund time getting out to start and then find out if it does or does not play properly on my laptop.

I hope he's in the DLC pack, because I'm slowly growing more and more worried as to whether my copy from Amazon will truly be Day One (even though that's what I ordered) since they still haven't shipped it.

Try lowering some of your settings in the Graphics tab in the Options menu - make sure to set it to Advanced to get more options. Other than that, sorry no idea.

Cabba and Frost are confirmed to be the first DLC. That's about it.
