Will Trunks stay in the future after the current arc ends?

I recall Vegeta telling Future Trunks never to return the present or to bother them (the main cast) once this conflict with Zamasu is over. I predict that they will use the Earth and Namekian from the Present Timeline to bring everyone back to life in Future Trunks world and then Goku, Vegeta and Bulma will return to their timeline in the present. God knows Future Trunks needs a happy ending with the all the shit he's been through.

I highly doubt the present Dragon Balls can transverse timelines.

I'm assuming Dende was killed by the Androids, or else Trunks would have collected the dragon balls and resurrected everyone from his time line long ago.

Why would the androids go to New Namek?

The Androids killed Piccolo just after the Pilaf Gang wished for youth and Shenron made them infants. In that timeline, Kami and Piccolo never fused, so the Dragon Balls became inert when Piccolo (and Kami) died.

I was thinking, what if we'll finally see Zarama show up after this? All the dragon balls are gone, and Zamasu destroyed the Super Dragon Balls, so maybe they'll find a way to contact Zarama so he can revive the dragon, and wish Trunks' world back to normal?

That would be the perfect ending.

However, I wonder...were Future Lapis and Future Lazuli in control of their actions? Were they unable to overcome their programming? Or did they consciously and of their own free will kill so many people? If they did not act of their own volition, and Gero's programming forced them to do what they did, should they get a second chance? Should the two be restored back to how they were on May 9, Age 767 (before they killed Gero)?
